I thought the point of GTC reselling was that you pay a little extra which goes to support the seller. The reason it was bad before was somer gave you in-game stuff for doing so. If there is a discount on the GTC itself... then that just wouldn't make sense.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Truthfully; nobody really knows. Because CCP has apparently not finished handling the fallout of the previous case, and will not for some time (source, first paragraph).

Not surprising, as it is without a doubt the biggest case of RMT in the history of the game.

CCP will just stop selling GTC through third parties soon enough so they won't have to put up with all the exagerated outrage.

Actually I'm 9000% certain getting something for cheaper than all other sources = Offering ingame bonuses. Unless you don't count value for money as a bonus. Roll

Which is a reasonable concern, given Somer's history. A tortured rationalization for why it's not really RMT if the in-game benefit is deferred wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Fair point on the first thing but what theyre offering seems fairly obvious to me. Use this link to buy your GTC and get some money off, I can accept that I could have missed something but it does seem pretty obvious at first glance.

Again, read the second paragraph. It's not at all obvious and it definitely does not sound like it'll just be money off (retroactively… somehow).

This. Maybe they're just trying to fleece their customers (insert mock outrage that a lottery would do such a thing here!) because they have no idea weather they will be able to offer an actual incentive later.

Contract these people some Guardian Vexors now for services to the community! Any delay and CCP will be seen to be treating Somer equally and could face a shipstorm.

i'd rather have a stratios emergency responder than a crappy guardian vexor or a gold magnate. Anyone else find it ironic that CCP responded to the outrage by providing an even better, cooler, and also rarer ship (well, minus the magnate). I mean, 3 in all of existence?
