Well I have now for some time tried to get my self a nice little lvl 3 mining agent...
I have been trying a few different Coporations and I may now admit, that I don't have a clue on how that works...

It seems that no matter what "faction" I do those lvl 2 missions with, I only get storyline missions with "Spacelane Patrol - Security" That really grinds my gears.. . :)

Any comments on how to make sure that the storyline missions you get are for the right "Division"?

The storyline agents all draw their missions from the same pool of storyline missions, so the agent's
division probably does not matter. (or at least I don't think anyone has ever shown differently).

When you do the final 16th mission that generates the
next storyline, the closest storyline agent will be chosen, no matter which corporation they
work for. To predictably get a specific storyline agent, you need to run that 16th mission from the same station
as the storyline agent. Each storyline agent can only hold 1 mission for you at a time, so if there
were two nearby storyline agents, and the first storyline mission pops up from the less desirable
agent, leave that mission undone while you do 16 more missions, and that might force the next storyline to
come from your preferred agent.

I'm gonna toss my 2 ISK in here as well.

Along with what was already posted, use an Agent Finder app to find a storyline agent in the same corporation you want to work and then find a regular agent located nearest to it. The Agent's Division doesn't matter since you're only gonna be running the 16th mission for them.

In my opinion it seems to me that the Storyline Agents will try to offer a mission that's opposite to the 16th mission completed. IE, if it was a Distribution mission, then the Storyline offer will be a Security mission and vice versa.

Anyway, good luck to you.
