I wont make it to FF but I have been planning to head to the twice yearly meet in London, organised by Veto. Its got a great following the last few years and there are usually a half dozen devs around.

Hola!

One of my corpmates is a Dub, I'm in Belfast myself and I have stumbled across a few countrymen over the years but we dont seem to have any kind of significant presence in game. Or at least we're very quiet about it for some reason.

Apart from Kurator of course!

It'd be easy to set up an in-game channel for us all to hang out in, but that's another chat box and I'm not sure we can afford to have another one of those open? :D We usually have too many as it is :-P
I know a couple of those guys I was talking about met up in London too. I'm not heading to FanFest, although did you see there are now direct flights to Iceland from Dublin? Makes any trip a whole lot cheaper!

I think a channel in game would work well actually. It might build up a little bit of community or momentum for a meetup or something, you never know. I know the Scottish lads have a channel that led to their Edinburgh/Glasgow meets.

Just a little news on this one...

Saw a few of you over the weekend which is great but it seems there is already a channel for Irish players, with the most original title of 'Irish'

I have no particular concerns about either keeping this channel open, switching to that channel, or being a part of both. There certainly seems to be a few people at least semi-active in the 'Irish' channel, which I believe was spawned from a thread on Boards.ie

Anyway, see you in game.
