Really, take the time to carefully read about all the shortcuts available, the sooner you learn to use them the better will be your gaming experience (The movement keys QWEASD are especially nice).

You might even learn about functions you didn´t know about.


Other than that, DO take the time to set up your overview as well, it´s the most important tool in your whole career in Eve (ideally, try to UNDERSTAND it so you can customize it according to your needs as well).

Exactly because I've read this particular sticky (full of questions and sad stories like "I should better fly small ship") I see the difference between this thread and the one you mentioned. Apart from usual spam this thread is much more practical one.
