after being away from the game for 7 years, i did get to experience that sense of wonder twice. it was nice. please resist the greedy urge to encourage new players to roll multiple accounts, though. we get it, its a nice money maker, but it breaks the "story" of the game heavily for me. one account, one capsuleer imo! not popular i know. this is an alt btw. ha.

I remember my first days playing Eve, I was so lost I couldn't figure out hardly anything on my own. I couldn't even figure out the tutorial for new players. To this day I still have never done it. But somehow I stuck with it, figured it out, and have done quite a few things over the years in the game. In all my many years of gaming, the learning curve of Eve Online is the steepest of any game in my opinion. But in that is a golden egg. It weeds out the kiddos, and the idiots. lol Eve's player base on average is leaps and bounds more mature than any other game I've ever played. And I've played a lot of them.

As long as I have been around I still learn new things. Watching these videos, I actually found out that you can Drag your ship to the Hangar to Change Ships, when was this introduced?

Please edit the link to http://freemusicarchive.org/ without the "s" because ...archives.org leads to a site that redirects to somewhere else with a lot of warnings popping up in my browser.

Also CM Storm is the name of a whole series of Cooler Master hardware, from mouse to bigtower. I guess the 5.1 headset was meant Blink

I just finished watching the whole series and still am not sure what to think about it. i like that he takes the burdon of finding out stuff on his own to some degree but on the other hand i had the feeling that he went into the woods to live there and used all the books that would have told him how to survive there, for making fire instead.

Sometimes, actually often, he comes to wrong conclusions from what he learned on his own and makes it his truth and if another noob sees it, he might come to the same false conclusion since he told it in a teaching way.

When i started EVE i was also doing everything on my own for a few months before i accepted a recruitment offer, but the difference for me was that i had informed myself about the game weeks before subscribing, reading the PilotsGuide or whatever it was called that time and other online resources to figure out the basic game mechanics and so on.

Having an open mind about the open sandbox world is a good thing but knowing the very basics of this game environment is important to understand whats going on around you and the new guide ccp has created ( http://web.ccpgamescdn.com/communityassets/pdf/EVE-Online-New-Pilot-FAQ.pdf ) is a pretty good start combined with the NP Training sessions ( https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Category:New_Player_Training_Sessions )

Regarding the empty skill queue - yeah damn that hurt watching over several episodes :o at least that noob skill booster was active to compensate a little but knowing about cybernetics and attribute implants should be a lesson 1 thing to know before even being allowed to enter the game, lol.

Also moving a char to another account to get it away from steam was totally unneccessary - or did i misunderstand that part ? my main was also bought on steam but yet i never used steam to play it and you dont have to - unless that changed in the last few years.

Btw to get into that game in the first place, its a good idea to look out for some good eve streamers on twitch.tv or friends or other players you might know and ask them for a friend invite with 3 free weeks and additional goodies depending on how the trial account gets activated later on.

Anyway, i hope Ahmed/Demha is having fun for a long time trying out everything he wants with this great sandbox game, because thats what its all about Pirate
