I've been, in the past two hours, to exactly 27 systems doing exploration (from .2 - .5) and have gotten "No scan signatures detected." in EVERY single system. I started seconds after DT until 2 hours later. There is no way that's actually possible.

Check your filters. I did the same thing once. Turns out I was only looking for ships.

I really don't want to be an ass, but this may come across this way.

Clearly I didn't say I could find no Cosmic Signatures.

you mean all signatures stays on 0%?

1. use sisters of eve probe launcher and probes if you can.
2. use spread formation then choose from the signatures the one which got most % revealed and filter to view only it (r click ignore others).
3. then switch to pinpoint formation and focus the middle of the probe cluster as close as you can to the middle of the red area of on top of the red dot.

I'm sorry I'm going to continually come across as an ass here...

Read the post...
"No scan signatures detected." is the issue I'm having problems with. I can clearly get starting %s. No scan signatures detected comes up every time I go to a specific site. I'd say one out of 30 systems has an active site right now. I literally logged on as the server came up (as every day) and no sites were spawned. I finally found one in my home system and it was a combat site (which I don't do).

The fact that I spent over 3 hours with only 1 scan site means either this **** is broken and 100% a waste of time (I can make 2b an hour AFKing in FW) or bugged.

You will be able to see if there are any anomalies before you even bust out your probes. Use the overlay.

I sometimes have a glitch in my overview/settings where I have to click the map on and off to get the anomalies to appear. Something to do with the automatic scanning system they implemented in Odyssey. It was working fine before down time.

Are you looking for anomalies or signatures?

As in your screenshot it clearly has signatures listed you can probe down to 100%.

As for anomalies, your automated system scan when jumping in should already reveal them.

Also, take into account that exploration sites spawn randomly. It is not guaranteed that a system has them, nor that 10 system in line have them...or even 100.
Finding sites also take a little bit of a thing called luck.

Put your toys back in the pram and behave.

People are trying to help you, their flaws do not deserve your flames. You obviously cannot get your own head around the problem, so suck it up please and accept the varied responses like an adult.

3 times you yourself realised you were sounding like an ass... why don't you go read your own OP if that's all it takes to fix it.

Since you are the ONLY one to mention it, i suggest no "exploration" is not broken.

I'm a new player, so maybe I'm not understanding your question... so forgive me if this isn't correct.

However it looks like to me that you have several probes all grouped together when their scanning fields all pushed out very far. When I start to zero in on one item specifically, I typically have 6 probes in a mirrored pyramid formation that I start bit by bit decreasing the scanning range on the probes and moving them closer and closer together until I hit the specific thing that I want. It's important to keep all the fields kinda clumped together though. If you have all the probes clumped together like that but never decrease the scanning range, you'll never get anything specific but only get the starting %'s as you say.

Anyway, I did some scanning last night without any issues.

If you disregard any advice or think its wrong.

Reformulate the question as your OP is NOT clear what your issue is.

It just say you jumped 'x' systems and did not find anything and then some rage...
Maybe next time give examples of what is wrong. As you say you cant find anything yet then give a screen with plenty of exploration signatures.

But with the crap attitude I wouldnt be surprised if people will just click this thread away as I dont see any reason why people should waste their time helping someone with your attitude.

Yes you damn well did. You said "no scan signatures detected". If you are unable to narrow them down, that means that scan signatures were detected, but you can't get them to 100% or they are dropping off the results list. Going through systems and getting "No scan signatures detected" to me reads as there are no signatures AT ALL or they are filtered out. I - and everyone else - are unable to see what's on your screen or read your mind.

From the pictures which you are showing (which would have been extremely helpful in the OP, instead of after the snark), it appears you are doing one of two things wrong:

1) the results you get from a scan don't show exactly where the signature actually is. There is a deviation which is a fraction of the size of the scan range. For example, a 32AU scan could easily be off by up to 16 AU with rock bottom support skills. Functionally, what this means is with base skills (Astro 1 and no supports) you could only go down 1 level at a time (i.e. 32AU to 16AU) and consistently hit it. With reasonable supports (3 or 4 in pinpointing and Astro) you can almost aways go down two levels (i.e. 32AU to 8AU). I don't have it, but I'm imagining if you had perfect skills and a module to boost pinpointing you could go down 3 hops (32 to 4). Under no circumstances can you go from 32AU to 0.5 AU and expect to hit it unless you are extremely lucky.

2) the other possibility is you are getting a 3 probe hit. If the signature is in range of one probe, it will show up as a sphere (with the signature + or - due to deviation on the surface of the sphere. With the signature in range of two probes, you will get a circle again, the Sig is + or - on that circle. With a 3 probe hit, you get two signatures. One will be the hit, and one will be a ghost hit. If you move to the ghost hit, it will continue to show the last successful probe but say no signatures detected. Highlight the Sig with two results and move to the other.

Now, do you care to put your attitude on the top shelf only to be used on people who are not trying to help you and try to explain, specifically and step by step what you are doing and where it seems to be going wrong, or do you want to continue to be belligerent and keep looking bad to any future corp which might be checking on your posting history?

This...exactly this... ^

Also - If your scanning skills are high or you are using Sisters core scanner and probes it also helps to reduce the "no scan signatures detected" issue... if your scanning skills suck however, you might see this a lot. There are certain skills that allow a % gain in the resolution of scans (cant remember what they're called but if you go into the market in the skills section you can easily find them).

Fix it for you.

Not plural.

You are only 1 person, so it's ******, not retards.

Maybe...you should whine less and make a constructive post first about what the EXACT issue is.

As the only answer we can give you so far:

You suck at scanning as your screen shows plenty of signatures. You just can't probe because you suck at it and thus whine on the forum about it. *this isn't meant as a personal attack though*. But just because you can't do something, it doesn't mean the game is at fault.
