I for one was a huge fan of vampire the masquerade and was actually hoping someone would make a modern heh revamp out of it. Ie an upgrade to bloodlines. You can't imagine my joy when I found out that ccp had something in the works. I know the game is a long way off yet but can we get a hint of when this is likely to be?

Thanks

Its not about spaceships so its on the back burner it seems. Ever since the incarna fiasco alot has changed.

I'd be willing to bet it would get more players than Eve does too and make CCP more money.

"In My Opinion" We are looking at 2 years at best before a beta and 4-6 years at worst ((leaning more towards the 4))
There are many fan sites that keep a look out for news but yeah I've been a fan of Vt:M since my first LARP in 1998. The lore and following of OWoD is crazy and I have to agree with Commissar Kate on the possibility to obtain more players then EvE.

It would be such a great game the if it has the same impact on me that bloodlines did back in the 90's back then that game was simply awesome and highly underrated/unknown

Vt:MB was awesome though some things in the game were lacking.. mainly I wanted to see the Obfuscate discipline 'Mask of a Thousand faces' in it.

One of the most controversial issue in WoDO is Permadeath.. and yet that is "one" of the biggest reasons I want to play the game. The fear of getting caught doing something bad would have such a great risk factor to it and those that want to be trolls/twits will have death!

Tentonhammer interview with David Reid, October 25th

Not a lot, but certainly the game is not dead.

By the way, the Atlanta office just laid off some 15 developers. Also some devs are missing from Shanghai.

Merry Christmas, Icelandic style. What?

Well i think they should just change it and make it Cyber punk game so it would fit eve online and it would be really awesome if it took place in eve online.

they can place them in some high sec planets as i believe there is no dust bunnies in high sec systems , Not sure tho

As the EvE universe games seem to get the "man power"... not saying its wrong, but rather single minded. I understand EvE is the bread and butter, but with Dust514 set to Console only you would hope they would focus on their 2nd universe. World of Darkness has great lore to build off, a large fan base and with the V20 its only growing. "In my opinion" I would think it a smart move to work more so on WoDO.

Now on the down side to that if they did they would have to hire new people with the skill set to work on a game like WoDO and thus have to fire some from EvE team... That is a death sentence.

Just my two cent

Agreed they could not have gone eight months and not hire more to work on WoDO. However until we have an official statement on http://www.ccpgames.com/en/home detailing what happened and why or more hopefully so something informing us about WoDO and its development. Other then, "it's ready when its ready!" Lol We EvE/WoDO community will not know anything other then speculations.

Did anyone play the Redemption one? While Bloodlines was definitely fun and had a nice atmosphere, it lacked a bit in depth and was too easy. Redemption had its faults too but it was a lot more challenging and had a pretty awesome story if you could look past the corny main character's whining. It also had a fairly unique multiplayer.
