Hi, i would appreciate if someone can shed some light on this issue for me, thx.

for example :

Skirmish Warfare Mindlink replaces Skirmish Warfare skill bonus with fixed 15% agility bonus, so
does this mean that having Skirmish Warfare Link - Interdiction Maneuvers II on ship is useless given
that Skirmish Warfare Spec gives boosts to effectivnes by 20% per level.

so ...

15% at spec lvl1
18% at spec lvl2
21,6% at spec lvl3
26% at spec lvl4
31% at spec lvl5 compared to 15% from Mindlink

am i right ? can someone help me out here? am i babbling here?

is the reason for one more free slot on ship? where is the catch?

The skills Skirmish warfare (2% to fleet agility per level) and Skirmish warfare Specialist (20% to skirmish warfare link modules per level) are different skills.

Having the skirmish mindlink replaces the bonus from the first skill, Skirmish Warfare, (10% agility at lvl 5) with 15% agility - a flat upgrade. Skirmish warfare specialist is unaffected and still gives 20% to to Warfare link effectiveness per level PLUS a further 25% bonus from the mindlink.
