So I quit this game 3 years ago and just re-subbed last Friday or Saturday.

Came back, found I have a -7.9 sec statusWhat?, probably understandable at the time but it's been 3 ******* years. Seriously.
Tried to join a nullsec pvp corp, got scammed (GoonWaffe I guess is known for this) for 90% of my isk. Found out I can buy tags and turn them in to return status, purchased some with the rest of my isk and loaded them in an incursus. Apparently the turn-in location is in lowsec, several jumps away.
Immediately got targetted down by a Loki camping the station before my frigate could warp to the gate (since when are cruisers able to target frigs before warp?) Lost the rest of my isk in that wreck.

Checked my alts. All the assets I had were in a POS that no longer exists, owned by a corp that also no longer exists. Contact and watch list completely empty.

So... no assets, alts have minimal skills trained (might as well just play a trial account), main literally can't do anything. No contacts still playing the game.

Well idk. If nobody wants me to resume playing the game, I guess I won't play it. POE is free. Cancelling the sub. Byes.

Okay.

Bye.

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.

That's an awfully long winded way of saying "I can't win in this game by being an incompetent gullible fool, so I don't wanna play anymore.".

Better luck with what ever game you choose to migrate to.

The great thing about eve is that you can always come back from any situation. Not for you? OK.

Bye. Hope you put more effort into whatever you feel like doing from now on, because else I think you are gonna have a hard time.

We all started with nothing and build from there. You cant really expect Things to be like they were several years before...

Isk and shiney stuff is so easy to come by so I have no idea why you should be whining. Grab your noob ship, start from square one, you will be fine.

The idiotic responses are, of course, not unexpected. I know I'm not going to be missed, I'm simply putting this thread as my reason in the unsub field.
Carry on as you will though, I won't miss you idiots either.

That's a pretty awesome welcome back to the game. When stuff like that happens to returning players, they usually say it reminds them of why they wanted to play. I'm not sure what the problem is, OP.

In another thread in the same day we are told how faction warfare alts make serious isk at 3 days old orbiting buttons.

So which is it, can't make isk in a frigate, can make isk in a frigate ?

So basically you suck at playing EvE and are gullible enough to fall for goon scams. Why thank you for telling us this. See you never, and nothing of value was lost.

Negative sec status doesn't dissipate over time, you gained it, live with it. Getting recruitment scammed is your own fault, it's not like the practice isn't well publicised. Complaining about getting ganked when you have a -7.9 sec status makes you a hypocrite, overall it sounds like you got your comeuppance tbh.

Multiple sensor boosters with scan res scripts and off grid boosts allow cruisers and battlecruisers to pretty much instalock all of the things, especially things that are red and KoS. They're nothing new, and you lost a pod in Jita 2 days beforehand so you should have realised that you get locked pretty much instantly there when you're KoS.

If you had some stuff I'd ask for it, as you don't have any stuff I'll just say cheerio.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

While you as a person and player may have changed dramatically in 3 years, and your goals in eve different this time around also, your sec status doesn't repair itself. I can imagine how logging in to find -7.9 might have been a bit surprising and a lil demoralizing, but that's just the way it is and always has been. So what, you forgot your old sec status? That's not anyone's fault but your own I guess.

You came back for a fresh start, so maybe the best course of action would have been to start a new account, or even now you could still create a new character in one of your spare slots (if you have any).

Ouch. Yeah, it happens a bit. Feels ^^ But by the same token you could have done a lil research. You jumped in head first after a three year break, took a big risk, and it didn't pay off. *shrug*

Ouch. But yeah, that's EVE.

Well that's up to you. If you ask others, especially here in GD, the results likely won't encourage you. Lol

You had a bad return - you forgot what some things were like, you took huge risks anyway, and tried to jump into the deep end.

Bad luck, a ****** start back. It happens, and shouldn't be the end of the world for you. If it is then maybe the others have a point when they say EVE may not be for you this time around. Anyway, chin up! Smile
