I started the game as a Gallente, but I don't really like Gallente ships as much as I do Caldari

What is EWAR?

Second, what would be some good corps to join for newbies? I think I'll join EVE University once I finish all the starting career agents, but after that, I'm looking for a corp which is very noob friendly, and does some light PvP, along with other things like mining or exploring.

Third, what are the pros and cons of using drones?

Thanks a third time. Everyone is very friendly here :)

I recommend Brave Newbies - they train new players and do not have requirements to avoid high-risk fights. You can take risks, or not take risks, as you see fit.

EWAR is short for Electronic WARfare. It's basically any attack module that compromises your opponent's capacity to fight rather than their armor/shields/hull. Examples are ECM and sensor dampening (which undermine your opponent's ability to lock targets), target painters (which make them easier to hit) and stasis webifiers (which slow them down).

On drones - You want to train them even if you don't focus on them (as they are the best defense a big ship has against small opponents). Drones are a weapon system like any other (missiles, lasers, etc), and like the other systems they have their own nuances. I recommend that every person train Drones 5 and Drone Interfacing 3 (or better 4) before flying battleships, as while battleship guns do great damage to large, distant targets, they are useless against small, close, fast-moving targets - which is where your drones will shine.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com
