Hey guys,

Looking for some help in regards to what skills I should be going for to be a good Thanny pilot.

http://eveboard.com/pilot/Nitecom

Skills :-
Gallente Carrier V
Remote Armor Repair Systems V
Capita Remote Armor Repair Systems V
Sentry Drone Interfacing V
Logistics V
Tactical Logistics Reconfiguration V

Probably missing a lot more, but that's all I can think of at the moment, any help would be appreciated!

Amarr Carrier 5 is the most important skill to train for any Thanatos pilot.

There is no Bob.

Thanatos is more for ratting, and getting caught while ratting. There probably is less of a need to max skill with it [You will never fit 5 DCU, and probably never more than 3.]

I wish Jump Drive Calibration 5 was a prerequisite for all jump capable ships.

EDIT: Thanks to the tieracide, it is now easy to train for all carriers.

You should train:
* Cynosural Field Theory 4 [level 5 if you are Amarr because of the Impairor's small cargo]
* Magnetometric Sensor Compensation 5
* Cloaking 4
* Electronic Upgrades 5 [Can get away with 4, but really...]

and if you want to do more than just triage:
* Fighters 5
* Drone Durability 5 [does not affect fighters]

Add
Some rigging skills to IV (T2 rigs)
Cybernetics V (+5 implants)
Electronic Warfare Drones!! to V
Repair drones for station games
Smart bombs?
1 more clone?

I see you're a pure Gallente pilot. Nyx is the badass Carrier for you.
Archon is the more preferred carrier in armor fleets, but again, I can guess your staying pure.

Fundamentally, it depends on what you plan to use it for.
Capital Energy Emission Systems - Any type of fleet role
Capital Shield Emission Systems - Thanny may not be the first choice, but it works
Capital Remote Hull Repair - Someones gotta rep the structure on those incapped mods

Also, to the guy mentioning rigging, you don't need the skill to fly the rigged ship, particularly on caps, the drawbacks aren't important, and T2 cap rigs are often not worth it.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Archon would be the preferred carrier to fly because of the EHP it has, the reason I didn't originally go for this was because I thought I needed Amarr BS V etc in order to train Amarr Carrier, just realised this is no longer the case and I only need the relevant skills to 3.

Definitely going down the Archon road now :)

For what is worth, the rigs that only require the Rigging skill don't have drawbacks.
