Why is bumping ships which are partially out of the POS called an exploit now?

Following that logic let me get the facts right. Ships partially out can't repair POS anymore, or titans can't bridge people if they are partially out, or carriers and super can't assign drones anymore if they are only partially out.

Any clarification would be welcomed because i didn't fully understand the announcement.

The exploit is POS bowling, not bumping partially exposed ships.

The recent announcement is more of a reminder, and expands the bump-ship to any ship type.

EDIT: For official clarification on an exploit, petition a GM.

lols wait? ccp are making something "ilegal" instead of fixing the problem in game, or what ever they view has a problem, why dont they just make it so you cant bump ships inside of POS's? sorry il keep bumping these hulks out so my friends can come and pick them up, its not like anything is legal in the game anyways xD

Good luck with that. If you haven't read the dev post about it, you will see that the dev mentions that bumping a ship creates a log. Don't come complaining when they catch you and ban your butt.

Probably because it's not an easy fix and their resources are currently all tied up working on something else. Saying "don't do it" probably won't stop people from doing it, but now if you get caught because someone complained, well, CCP has an obligation and a right to take action against you.

Hi! Using exploits is what's commonly known as a Bad Idea™ due to things such as the EULA, Terms of Service, and the logs that show things. I recommend not using exploits. I lot.

I would suggest that if you can lock and shoot the target, then the logs will (bearing in mind that the logger is called seargent "i saw nussink!" shultz for a reason), show that you bumped a legitimate target.

Yeah they're talking about taking advantage of the 1 second server ticks to get inside a POS forcefield and bump ships out with this exploit, not POS bowling.

I miss old fashioned POS bowling. It was funny.
