Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to the inaugural EVECAR race.

The idea is pretty simple. You start in one system, you pickup and item in a different system and return to the starting system. This being the first race in hopefully many to come, it will be simple. But later I would like to expand into races that make you decide to go through a few low sec systems or to go around them and lose time but not get blown up.

Eventually ships will be given as prizes. But as were just starting out, I'll be given out ISK. We are going to get a % of the entry fee's. But this is purely to help give bigger prizes in the races to come.

I'm working on getting a simple website layed out to display up coming races and past winners etc. But for now I'll be using the forums.

How it works:

- Each racer will be assigned a NO collateral courier contract (1piece of trit) to the checkpoint station from the starting station.
- There will be a second courier contract from the checkpoint station to the finishing station. This contract can not be accepted until the first contact is completed to ensure that no one uses alts for headstarts. Accepting the second contract before the first is complete will result in your forfeit.
- First person to complete the contract in the finishing station will win the prize.
- Second place will have there entry fee refunded.

The Rules:

- Any ship outside of Faction ships are legal.
- Racers will meet at the starting station 15 minutes before race time. If you are not at the starting station by 5minutes before start time you will be disqualified.
- We will take sign ups for the race up to 30 minutes before the race starts.
- Prizes or prize money will be awarded within 10 minutes of race completion.
- Any racer that somehow cheats or uses a alt to influence the race in any way will be disqualified.

EVECAR Racing's First ever race

Date: December 10th, 2013
Time: 04:00 EVE Time (11pm Eastern Standard Time)
Starting Location: Perimeter II - Moon 1 - Caldari Navy Assembly Plant
Check point: Amarr VIII (Oris) - Emperor Family Academy

10,000,000 ISK Entry Fee. (Send to EVECAR Racing Corp. with the reason evecar101)
I will update this board with the racers names as they enter the race.

First Place Winner: 75% of the prize pool.
Second Place: Entry fee refund.

Just a note: We are keeping 25% of the entry fee's to stock up on awesome ships and PLEX to give out as prizes for later races. At which point this percentage will go down a lot more.

**** man, I'm sorry I missed this. I hope you'll do this again some time and put some more time between the announcement and the event. ...Although 0400 is quite late for me, might not have raced anyway.

Good luck,

Thanks for the post man, but I actually had no one sign up, convo or mail me. I posted the forum post in Jita and Amarr a few times and everyone thought it was a scam. So with that said, at this time I'm giving up on the idea as its just to hard to start up something like this cold.

tldr; Everyone has trust issues in eve, no one showed interest :P

Pity, I might have gotten a few people interested that did this in the past. And it may be more succesful with (initially) no entry fees and more time to advertise, but if you give up this easily, then you're not the right guy for this.
I'm not saying it's easy, but others before you have organized succesful race formats running for several seasons. If you ever think about trying this again, try to get into contact with the people who organized or raced in the past.

I plan on trying it again, just rethinking my whole concept and strategy. And I thought about making the entry fee free. But I'm not rich and I cant supply prizes at this point in time. So the entry fee's are simple to supply prizes and nothing more.

But I am thinking about trying to set one up on a longer start date and do something different on the entry fee/prizes side.

Ill keep in touch and let you guys know.
