So there's a thing that's been bothering me for a year:

Sometime ago I logged into Eve and was searching through some of my personal assets. That's when I noticed an entry I'd never seen before. It was an Iteron Mark V - named the Hugo Von Goremaster! - that was just hanging out in a system I had nothing else in that at the time I'd never visited. I went to pick it up and realized when I got there that I didn't have the skill to fly it, nor the skill for the fairly standard fittings and rigs that emphasized cargo space. My contract history was clean of any records for such a thing nor had I had it traded to me (evidenced by having never been in the system).

Yet there it was.

And there it has sit ever since it came into my possession. With nothing in its cargo hold but slowly collecting space dust, it has sat in Tarta and bothered me in concept and in clutter. I can't for the life of me explain how I got it.

I was once mining Jaspet in lowsec with an Exequror and made it out alive.

It happened a while ago, so I don't remember the exact sequence of events, but I was either undocking or jumping through a gate in high-sec when I briefly saw what looked like a warp disruption bubble and maybe 20 ships around it, which then appeared to warp off somewhere, bubble and all.

Who put the goat in there?

Was once ratting witha buddy in a 0.5 (yes, were were bored).

Faction sansha rat spawned, and in true ******* NPC faction it warped off soon after we landed on grid.

well we chased it... for an hour and a half, with perma-running MWD. roughly every 120km it would reappear at the edge fo our grid, occasionally with other high-tier sansha ships (elite frigates and faction spawns). we got out roughly, after the hour and a half we started catching up with it, seemed like it had stopped. when we got near it some mission-style environment wreckage appeared on grid with 2 or 3 other faction spawns and a bunch fo trash. we started firing on them but server crashed (huge lowsec fight a few jumps over) so we werent able to get anything out of it.

still to this day unsure how we chased a faction spawn from an asteroid belt to a mission complex at the edge of the system.

(this was almost 3 years ago BTW, when me and him were both new enough that cruisers were expensive, so it was one of the more exciting things to happen to us in EVE at the time)

Many, many moons ago ... when Megacyte was very rare in Empire and these haulers full of megacyte just started to appear around gates after DT... I jumped in one and flew away... could have been the "Megacyte Fairie" or just some confused pleb that decided to biomass out of frustration... I guess I'll never know... but a Badger full of megacyte, at 4K per unit in those days... goddamn, but I'm sexy. Cool

I once found an unpiloted pod in space.

You know, like those noobships and shuttles that are floating around highsec gates because the owner ejected from them? Like that, but a pod.

How it got there, I have no clue. There was a big laggy (that was before TiDi) fleet battle in that system a day before, so maybe it had something to do with that.

I was able to board the pod. My original pod disappeared and I was piloting the new pod. Nothing changed about my skills or implants.

Someone in your corporation probably dropped it into your hangar through a corp office.

Happened to me as well during Tribute invasion back in 2010. The pod was there for a couple of minutes until its owner logged back in.

I've seen that before on the test server, but never on TQ.

Do you drink alcohol? Weird things happen in Eve when you do.

I once logged on and found my hanger full of minerals. I could not for the life of me figure out where they had come from. My transaction history showed nothing... nothing on contracts either. So I shrugged and donated it all to the corp.

Later than night I began to pile ships into a freight container for friendly Jump Freighter run (my corp was moving to a new HQ)... but I found that one of my battleships was missing.

"I remember repackaging it last night" I said to a corpmate.
"You sure you repackaged it?" he replied. "You were pretty drunk last night."
"Oh... the minerals..." is all I managed to say.
Comms were dead silent for a full 10 seconds before someone stifled a giggle.

My assets were full of named and fitted ships all over the galaxy that I couldn't fly until I trained the basic skills to fly them all to Jita and sell them. There were a lot of them but their appearance wasn't a mystery because I knew where they all came from. I stole them all ehehehe.

When I was new I once got convo'd by a random stranger in jita and he said:

"Do you want to get rich?"

and i wondered if he wanted to scam me but i said

"Yes!"

and all he replied to me was "Booster reactions! You owe me a favour."

And i got rich and much later returned the favour.
