He also robs banks by finding pennies, nickels, and dimes just lying there on the floor. No cops, no risk, and if he does it enough he'll soon have quite the nest egg built up.

Trust me, people are that stupid. I find freight containers in w-space all the time. I've also found a stash of abandoned ships left within d-scan range of a gate once.

abandoned, fitted ships worth stealing are sometimes left by alts for -10 mains to jump in and warp to a gank. I think. Who knows?

I certainly think he deserves one. Leave no trace - Always leave your camps cleaner than when you arrived, etc. etc.

He probably did, being 1337 and all, but the gankers usually have alts leave ships at the sun so their -10 mains can jump in em.
Have to be quick to nab a gank fit tornado with faction ammo but hey.

Wait a second so is this no criminal flag thing still working?

I have seen crews that mine into a freight can and send a freighter to pick it up. May be worth following said groups with a freighter of my own. :)

Worked last month on SiSi and haven't seen any patchnotes of any changes. Should be pretty safe to try out, miners don't even usually comment on theft within 10-20min.
