Rubicon update has decreased responsiveness to commands

Whether it's modules, warping to celestials, docking/jumping, navigating on grid, the game is simply not responding to commands at times.

I have on many occasions attempted to "jump" or "dock", however once I reach the appropriate grid I become a sitting duck. The game does not jump me or dock me.

I have clicked around in space over and over again trying to get my ship to stop approaching something, only for it to continue approaching.

What gives? It's gotten to the point where every command being initiated needs to be double-checked just in case the servers didn't detect it for some reason.

Yep, feels like something has changed, mostly evident when exiting warp and trying to execute a command.

All in all the responsiveness and reliability of modules leaves a lot to be desired.

Lost count of how many times I've been "approaching gate" when I'm at zero and people are shooting at me. Going to need a new mouse at this rate the amount I'm spamming commands Roll

And here I thought it was because of the two characters I had logged in while ripping a torrent and loading the stream of the new Hunger Games movie.

What a relief that it's not my system, but CCP screwing up.

Yeah, completely agree.
Scrolling down cargo/cans while selecting items (right-click drag) is also going anything but smooth.

I thought I'd be able to blow through a high sec gate camp the other day. Turns out nope. Landed on the gate, spammed that Jump button, session change in progress, ejecting capsule, ...

Oh and if I hit ESC to bring up the settings menu everything freezes for 5-10 seconds.

Gotta love new "features" mmm? Roll

Agreed. Micro lag all over the place.

This is particularly visible when warping between asteroid belts using keyboard shortcut command for warp. Takes seconds of spamming S and requires re targeting new belts to function at all.

Some of these might be DirectX 11 issues, and going back to DirectX 9 might help.

A quick test (and possible remedy?):

- Exit the game client
- Go to the launcher
- Click the little gear icon just under the "X" to close the launcher window, select the "DirectX" tab
- If the dropdown is set for "DirectX 11" try setting it to "DirectX 9"
- Click [ Save ]
- Launch the game, and see if that helps.

[ edit/added: ]

If you're launching the game client (ExeFile.exe) directly instead of going through the launcher, DirectX 11 is the default. You can specify you want DirectX 9 via the command line options:

ExeFile.exe /noconsole /triPlatform=dx9

I accidentally my ship, is that bad?

Its nothing to do with DX11 I'm afraid as I'm on DX9.

I wonder whether the latest devblog is more relevant......

Just beat me to it.

The EVE Experience is just being 'shared' equally.

Anyway OP, "Nasty Hobbits" obviously ...

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

I only just read it myself.

Oh and I'm unsure how this works but is Dust actually running on the TQ hardware as well?

I'm getting this too.

Warping to station, but not docking.
Warping to gate, but not jumping.
Clicking cans and watching them contineu to drift away

Seems I have to click every command twice these days.

Protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. Amen.

Now I have to click that "+" icon near speed scale like 10 times. It doesn't work even after on-screen message "your speed is increased to 321 m/s/".

Oh and forgot to mention one critical related issue- acquiring target lock process interruptions or locks breaking without reason.

Adding to the threadnaught, I'm seeing the same issues, esp with jumps and coming out of warp.
