I just decided to come back to EVE after taking a year long break. I've ran EVE on this computer before but now, every time I enter the game it runs for 2-3 minutes and then my computer does a hard shut off. Then I try and turn the computer back on and it takes 3-4 tries because the computer shuts off during reboot. Any suggestions how I can fix this?

EDIT: Just realized I'm in the wrong forum. Sorry.

Yes, you're in the wrong forum.

Still, check your cooling system. EVE is a bit demanding, especially in the GPU department, with all settings to the max. And such a shutdown could easily be caused by excessive temperature. The next tries to boot (while it cools down) just support my theory.

Check if all the fans are ok, if the airflow is ok (lint in the back grids, etc.), and keep a temperature monitor running while you play.

And good luck!
