I started playing about a month ago, and without Almethea (and much trial-and-error) I would not be able to patch and play this game. Thank you!

This has become intolerable.

CCP must realise this is making people quit?

If i was a new player I certainly wouldn't start paying sub, if all i'm confronted with is IT problems.

Even people that know about this thread and the great Almethea and can be bothered to continue manually fixing their eve client are the lucky one's.

OK, it's not a call to riot or whatever but when you download the file can you just say thanks or +1.
It will may help to get attention from ccp.

Hi Almethea, thanks so much for posting these, my launcher keeps giving me errors and a previous link you posted here allowed me to play. Unfortunately it was 30 min before downtime and after downtime it said I had a 6 mb download and tries to download it through the launcher which still doesn't work.
Is this that patch that must have been today? or the retribution patch?

Got the source of the problem on my comp: Avira Antivirus Big smile. Just deactivate Antivir before you are starting the launcher, voila... patch downloaded and applied in seconds.

Turning off my anti virus .. and firewall never works for me certainly not today yesterday and the day before and all the way back to wotever patch it was this first started happpening after 9 years of seemless playing.

fed up now. 5 days left on sub .. to decide to **** eve off forever.

I've run the repair tool and it seems to run fine.


I was online prior to DT, went to bed feeling ill and my launcher was running when i got back up and without thinking i just logged in. Obviously the launcher threw an error and tried updating then wouldnt launch.

I ran the repair tool which worked (ran it twice all good both times)

And now launching eve I get the above error.




Win 8.1 64bit

HD7970 with 14.1 drivers.

i7 4770k.
