That's funny, mine is on physical drive F:. Takes about 15 seconds to set up. So you probably didn't look for it.

yeah my bad, didn't notice the drive selection. I've turned it off anyway after the change to DX9.Big smile

Try switching back to DirectX9 from the launcher; I'm having similar problems with Aero complaining about sluggish behaviour, and alt-tabbing sometimes causes a black screen in EVE.

This is what I have had happen at times as well.

Sounds like something else is eating your RAM, as far as I know the EVE client is still 32bit and hence wouldn't be able use that much RAM in the first place (not without memory mapping anyway which I seriously doubt is going on).

/c

Everyone is getting the same error Chribba, I know you love this game, but please don't try to sluff off poor CCP coding on the players...

Im running EVE also on i7 / 8gb ram / 3240x1920 / directx11 without any problem. Right now im in the fleet and my memory consumption is less than 3gb. (according task manager). oh and i have FireFox in the background too.

I think that something else drains your ram. Try da old trick of clearing the cache

It seems everyone is saying something else is eating the RAM.

Thats not the case for me, evefile.exe jumps to 2.5 gigs of memory after ½ hour, and continues to rise quickly until failure of the ingame interface. Minimizing somehow clears the allocated memory :S
I have 8 gigs of RAM, and after 10 minutes of hangar AFK time im at 100% utilization of my RAM... With windows aero faults and everything.

This has been happening since Rubicon, OR since I moved Eve to my SSD (different partition than windows though). Any thoughts?

At least I can evade the crash by minimizing every 10 minutes, but after 2 hours or so, I have to restart the client.

Windows 7 64bit
8Gigs RAM
Running DX11 through launcher

EDIT: Switching to DX9 fixes it -.- not really a fix, but I guess it'll do for now

Im one of the last 2GB RAM users left in the world of MMOs and I have not seen this warning before.
