Game Freezes - AMD/Vista

Hello all. I put in a ticket for this, but I'd also like to hear any quick fixes I don't know about. I *have* searched a bunch of forum posts, but nothing seems to help, and I can't find anyone with the same issue and same hardware, so I'm posting my own thread.

I played for several hours last night, and made it through the entire initial training session without a problem at all. This morning, I began the second phase of exploration training, and my game began freezing up when I'm in space near a jump gate.

My cursor in-game is still working, but the visuals completely freeze, and the sound appears to loop indefinitely. I am unable to manipulate or interact with the UI at all.

I am, however, able to alt/tab out, and once I open task manager, it appears the EVE client is 'not responding.'

My System Specs

Vista 64
Asus MB
I5-3570 @ 3.4ghz
AMD Radeon 280x (7900 series)
8 Gig ram
