Of course, if CCP were to paint all Gallente ships Smurf-blue we clearly wouldn't see just as many, if not more folk complaining about blue "not being functional," "ugly," or what have you. The CCP art team decided long ago what color scheme the different navy and faction ships would have; some like it and some do not. If CCP were to change things around, just as many people would complain. For example, some used to complain that the Federation Navy Comet looked odd or silly; now that CCP changed it to be in line with other Gallente ships, just as many people are complaining that it no longer looks "distinct."

The new textures are quite nice. They may not please everyone, but judging by the number of folk still starting daily whine threads on this forum, that is impossible to achieve.


No they didn't, the navy mega used to be black and grey, and the apocalypse navy issue used to look like the imperial issue.

People clearly object to the hideous camo on the Gallente ships.

You know what happened when you put the ******* ugly green camo on the Navy Megathron? You destroyed one of its sole reasons to fly it. The Black Megathron was frikkin awesome. Now with ugly green forest camo people didn't want to fly it anymore and sold it.



Shortly after the ugly green camo the Price of a Navy megathron went from 550 million to 410 million, while the Navy Apocalypse remained at the same price of 550 million.

The aesthetics of a ship really helps the player's own personal thoughts of the ship. Making it ugly camo only ruins the ship.
