Marauder in a c5 solo?

Has anyone tried to use a Marauder in a c5 to kill combat sites solo? If so how did it go? I'm debating on testing this on the test server to confirm if it would work, but wondering if others have tried and which one was used.

I could give you an entrance probably, we roll into their hole alot and some of theirs old or farming holes pretty often, never seen them make any actions.. They are carebears anyway..

no need to pvp him, the rats will do it for you, just bring a target painting cov ops, paint him once, then leave... or bring an inty for the pod, if you can escape the rats

With links and a pro-fit, sure. It works.
As with most things though, profits are better when you don't solo. 3 marauders + links seems to be the sweet spot.

yea after seeing that youtube video of the guy taking an an hour to clear a c5 site solo... I decided that's a big no.

Not that I'll be doing it any time soon, but what about a Marauder in a C4? Still takes too long to be profitable, or...?

I tried on Sisi once. It worked but was highly annoying. Granted my only Marauder option is the Kronos, but the long ranges make it annoyingly tedious. If you fit sniper your DPS is low and the sleepers burn in fast. Unless you are exactly 100km away yuo will over or undershoot with a MJD. Even if you land on top of the sleepers and facemelt them with blasters they tend to make it out to their orbit at your falloff before you can kill them all.

Maybe multiples. but honestly unless solo, a RR domi gang will be more effect and far less expensive.

we did tests with marauders. long story short, its not worth it in c5s.

sleepers popped a few, some were lost to ganks.

bottom line, marauder is a shiny toy, it can be done, but its not efficient. easier to spider with regular battleships.

Tlc have trailed c5 vargur gangs. dolo it takes too long ss The frigs orbit to close then pull range when you swap to smarties how ever. The fits are only t2 daul asb fits but you need alt to jet can batteries then tractor them in. Heavy use on mobile refitting. Last trail with a pair ended badly with a dc but was working well from what I understood
