A good resource for learning how to find and stalk targets is Penny Ibramovic's blog: http://www.tigerears.org/. He has a very easy-to-read writing style and usually takes extra time to explain things so the person new to his blog and to W-space in general can pick up tips while still remaining a good read for the experienced.

Practice using d-scan and combat probes. You can do this in Hisec by just looking for mission runners, scanning them down, and warping to their mission's acceleration gate. Then look for the next mission runner, and try to improve your speed. You have to be comfortable with the process first before you can really do it stealthily.

And finally, nothing helps more than actually doing it. Get in a cheap clone, and jump in with a bomber. They're cheap, so it won't set you back much to lose a dozen or so. The hands-on experience you'll get, combined with the other resources, will make all the difference.

Go and talk to this guy about solo WH hunting in an SB.

Shocked

See him somewhat regularly in our systems. Pretty much all he does.

But seriously, plenty of fun to be had in WHs with a solo SB. Dscan and probes. You'll do fine if you're selective with targets.

Thats the guy I couldn't remember the name of - I've seen people deploy entire logi backed fleets just to try and kill him before heh.

Ha Big smile

Honestly if you're into solo-SB fun then this guy's killboard is inspirational lol Some really "Wtf" kills in there. Would love to pick his brain someday.

I first met him a couple years ago in a C1, seems he mostly lurks systems with a static HS. I made the mistake of doing a bomb run on him with an alt. I failed, and he stuck around all day until he finally killed my alt in a SB 1v1. Ever since then I've seen him occasionally stick his head into systems with a HS exit, always solo. I don't mess with him anymore though P

Alot of good info on here!

I see alot of disruptor + AB fits, but how do you keep point on something with MWD? as you'll only be going around 750-800m/s?

It's a compromise I guess. Using an AB on your bomber helps free up grid. Useful if you're fitting a bomb-launcher for instance.

With an SB you don't really need to worry so much about keeping range for an extended engagement, you're really trying to apply big DPS volleys in hope of ganking your target as quick as possible and gtfo.

The only issue I've found when using AB is trying to pull range and escape from a MWD opponent. I recently lost an AB fitted SB to a Proteus with MWD and 40km point. MWD will save you in such situations, however it also makes the Sig of your paper-thin bomber even worse, so may be your downfall in other situations.

Personally I use AB for my bomb launcher SBs, and MWD for my probe fitted SBs. Play around and find what works for you, your fit and your purpose I guess.

Probe wh's from hs close to trade hubs. Best thing is to have a prober alt and use your main to kill what your prober finds. Its also good practice to go another wh deep depending on activity you find. The more you do it the faster you get and know what to look for. The best advice? Just go out and do it.

couldn't agree anymore :) +!

MSE+MWD bomber works fairly well. No bombs. Core probe launcher in your spare high.

But to be honest, you probs don't need the MWD in w-space, and an AB will help keep you alive.

If you have really exceptional fitting skills or implants, it is possible to fit a 10MN AB on all but the Nemesis and still have a useful fit.

Your best friend is your cloak. Only uncloak when absolutely necessary. Fly with all brackets on so you don't get decloaked by that random corpse, can, or wreck. Be patient. Warp around as needed to get close to your prey. There's nothing more frustrating than slow-boating in from 50-60km only to have the guy you're hunting warp out 5km beyond long point range.

Choose your targets wisely. Industrials and mining barges make easy targets. T3s do not. Domis generally do not. Drakes can be soloed if they are fully engaged by rats. Marauders are pretty much immune to bombers now unless they are soloing a C5 combat site. The former Tier 3 BCs are pretty squishy and have trouble hitting small ships like a bomber.

Above all, don't get discouraged. You will die a lot at first. But bombers are fairly cheap.
