Siphons worthless for WHers

Don't even bother. Thought you could go out drop siphon for a couple hours and then pick it up again. Unfortunately Siphons are one time use. Once you drop them you can't pick them up again Cry

The only way this could potentially work is building the siphons yourself to keep cost down. Then probe moons for r64's running simple reactions. Probably the only way you could turn a profit from wh and even then it would probably be more effort then its worth.

Yup, and it takes a LOOONG time for them to pay themselves off.

You woulda been more clever to scan the moons first instead of dropping siphons on moons harvesting gases bahahaha

I disagree OP. Get a null exit, go scouting for moon harvesting POS asap. Bookmark locations on each and move on. Ideally you want the ones harvesting the high-end stuff. Once you have a few, sweep through and slap out a siphon at each, and go back to your hole. Come back every now and again and collect your loot. You'll get as long as your hole stays up. Depending on the Alliance, how active they are and how much they check on their moon-goo POS' you might get lucky! Alternatively, they could be instantly discovered and destroyed.

Siphons are a throw-away gamble, which i'm more than willing to take to get my hands on some moon goo. How else is a wormhole corp going to get their hands on some? I've already started producing loads, and to hell with the cost, i'm in it for the lolz.

If you go for the most expensive moons (is 3 cant remember them now) but its 5 hours to cover the cost of the siphon thenits profit. next load is about a day so yeah not likely tomake money back there and rest is 3 plus days.

but if you find other peoples then just steal theres jobs a good one

If your doing it just for ***** and giggles more power to you! But I find spending my isk on thrashers or other disposable ships for ***** and giggles much more satisfying. To each their own Big smile
