Checking in, the newest patch did not solve the issue for me.

However, I turned textures down to low and everything works fine. Obviously a texture issue...

I am still having the same issue and am one of the 40% still using DX9 settings according to the keynote at fan fest. I guess this thread is still being ignored by the Dev's as they have achieved a 60% success according to CCP's CTO.

My desktop micro stutters before i switch it to full screen and back to windows mode still but that is with DX11 or 9 so its a computer issue on my end.

Hi all, I want to assure you all that we are still investigating this issue and are committed to improving DX11 performance and stability. The more players we can get onto DX11 the more opportunities CCP has to investigate and implement exciting and immerse graphic features.

I would like to ask that anyone who is experiencing issues on DX11 ensure their drivers are up to date and if the issue persists, file a bug report from in-game to ensure we get the logs we need. Please use something similar to this example format:

Quote:
Title: DX11 micro stutter when switching focus between chat channel and the space scene

Description: I am running 1 client with all settings on high, when I shift focus onto the chat channel to type the FPS will drop 10-20 frames. I only experience this issue when in Windowed mode, switching to full screen resolves the issue.

Reproduction:

1. Ensure your client is in window mode.
2. Be in space with any ship, don't have focus on the chat channel.
2. Click on the chat channel to type and notice the FPS drop

Once you have filed the bug report please reply here letting us know you have reported an issue with all the details and give a brief description of what the issue was.

There should be no major changes on Singularity but it is worth checking if the issue is present.

Because you are experiencing the micro stutter on DX9 and DX11 and even after switching GPU models I am inclined to believe it's a component or software on your machine. Potentially a failing HDD or motherboard/ram issues, we will still investigate but so far I am been unable to reproduce this issue.

That is my thought as well its odd that it goes away when i switch to full screen and back ever seen that happen before.

It happens the same on sisi.

There definably was a build where it started happening how ever.

I'm glad this is still being looked at as it's driving me insane that I only have half the FPS on the client when it's set to DX11.

Hi Guys,
I've recently got that problem, although it happens ONLY when I engage in combat. Having stable 60 FPS and the graph starts showing drops every second accompanied with a sound (no idea which ship module makes it). Tried everything here, changing DX 11 to 9 and back, fixed and full screen, playing around with the video settings; low, medium, high in different setups (I run dual monitor setup). My last attempt was to clear the cache from the launcher menu then I ran a mission to try it out, was fine only for one short mission and then it started again. Please advise. This is unbearable to play that way... don't want to be forced to quit the game.

Still happening to me too periodically. The *only* pattern I've found is that sometimes calling up the ESC menu causes the rate drop and sometimes the ESC menu clears it up. Doesn't always happen, but for me, the ESC menu is usually involved somehow.

I'm wondering this this problem and the "closed socket error" problem, which CCP employees keep blaming on hardware are connected somehow,as it seems to coincidental that the two problems have cropped up so close together.

I would very much appreciate some more inputs from the Devs. Problem appears when I engage in combat and stop right after I disengage.

Many thanks
