So...went through the steps that you linked. Captured a Log_server file and saved it right after several of the pauses. Tried to submit the petition 4 times with the file attached...and got a 500 Internal Server Error every time....can you link me how to submit a bug report for that?

Sorry to hear that - I need to go bang some heads. We can't have our bug reporting site misbehave like that!

Actually, after trying again to submit this...I think the issue is that the Log_Server File is 10MB, and the bug report only allows 5MB. This was from me running it for maybe 10 minutes. Any other way of me getting the file to you?

The log file should compress well with zip - maybe try that.

Or if you share it with me on Google Drive or some other site like that - you can send me the link in EVE mail.

I'll see if this size limit can be raised, or if I can get some upload site set up for easier upload in the future.

EVE Mail sent to CCP Snorlax with the google drive links. And I had to pay a CSPA charge to send it!

I can reliably reproduce that this happens with a fps drop to 0 for a split second every time a market call is made or order is updated.

Thanks, this is a good lead, we'll investigate.

I cannot repro this... do you have any more details?

I can. Go to Jita 4-4 and do a "View market details" on PLEX. The game stops dead for a second, then starts up again as soon as the market details are shown. The FPS monitor data looks like this:

0.0 19.62
0.2 18.82
0.4 18.81
0.6 19.68
0.8 18.62
1.1 20.71
1.3 20.87
1.6 20.45
1.8 20.10
4.6 4.50
4.9 4.36
5.1 4.34
5.4 4.21
5.7 14.65
5.9 17.06
6.1 17.10
6.4 19.64
6.6 19.96
6.8 19.71
7.0 20.15

Note the gap in the data from second 1.8 and 4.6.

Same here. I have an older computer and this has been happening for several months for me. Go to Jita, Ctrl + F to start framerate monitor, open market and click on PLEX. Watch frame rate fall off a cliff.

I have all settings at minimum, interval one.

Also had the blackscreen issue that has been reported in GD where video drivers stop working. This only started yesterday for me and my NVidia gfx doesn't support DX11.

Edit : I will be upgrading my hardware soon as it's a bit past it's sell by date so to speak :)

I'm running fine with a single client, but the moment I start that second client things start to chug. I get stuttering and slow downs. The entire UI gives poor response. Right-click menus will take several seconds, overview clicks take 3 to 5 seconds to register...

I'll try the DX9 trick and update this post later.

Have you tried fixed window, rather than fullscreen or windowed?

I have issues with the dx11 client offering low fps (a lot lower) especially when running both my clients, I'm running an overclocked i5 3550k, 16gb ram and a 3gb ati hd7950 overclocked to 7970 speeds.

I too since post Rubicon have been getting these issues now mainly in fleet ops it when running sites, it seems to happen a lot when drones are deployed. I have never had this problem before and its rather frustrating to see this happening now. I have tried fixed/full and windowed mode on various times i have even adjusted my graphics to see if that works but the only in game work around I found is to zoom out a bit till either the frame rates balance or the op is done. What happened??

First make sure you have the latest driver for your graphics card.

Try switching to DX9 in the launcher - I'd be curious to know if that helps with your issues.

Without more details it's hard to say what is going on in your case, but it appears that some system configurations get worse performance under DX11 than DX9, even though most players see an improvement.

My team's focus has primarily been on stability issues lately, but our focus will eventually shift to performance issues. Until then, the DX9 engine should perform the same as before Rubicon.

I am running DX9 what specifics do you need? I am almost positive my drivers are up to date but im just wondering why is this happening now after Rubicon as it wasn't before...

Run with LogServer and file a bug report. If you have a reliable repro case for your issue, give detailed steps for it. Screenshots with the FPS monitor may be useful (hit Ctrl-F to bring up the FPS).

I sent 3 bug reports in from both TQ and Sisi. I updated my drivers and did a clean of my computer files and then it started for me. Will try with dx9 in a min and update the post.
Results shows up right away using DX9 on tomorrows build.

Radeon HD 6800 driver version 12-104-00

Down loaded 13.152.1.8000
Still has stutters on TQ.
Will send another bug report.

down loaded 13.250.18.0 beta

Also has stuttering.

With the two newest builds its more or a full flash because it stops rendering and you can see what is behind the window.
A flip thru of full screen and fixed resulted in no stuttering or flashing in those modes and a stable window view afterwords.

Same results when testing the Sisi build. Flipping to full screen for a moment seemed to clear the issue.

8501 2013.12.10 06:22:20:958 CurrentAdapter This shows up when this happens in the logs

Tbh eve has never provided stable framerates. As little as opening the context menu in space is enough to cause a dip in the frame rate, let alone opening other menus, bays, launching drones, ships landing on grid or having your wallet blink.

My framerates are fine, but for some reason my nvidia cards now seize up, causing lots of artifacts and a scrambled picture, and require a complete system reset to work properly again after warping to a POS. Have not been able to try it with anything else... because i logged off at a POS before patch.

Glad to see I'm not just unlucky! I did everything to solve the issue, that is atrocious, at least for me... with v-sync on (or interval one) I got 60fps with everything maxed out at 1920x1080. However it would fluctuate to less than 20 or single digit or even stop for a moment. When I'm lucky, a couple of seconds and no frames. So I got rid of all bling, and lowest resolution, nothing solved. No v-sync and that improved it, as now it fluctuates from 160 to 20... Or 0, but the average is more playable. By chance turned off eve voice, things got more reliable. The kicker? All this inside the station, so without any excuse like tons of drones on screen. Outside things are a little more shakey, but you know: outside.
The system isn't a beast, but it clearly works: Athlon X2 450, 8gigabytes of ram, ssd (Samsung 430), nVidia GTX 560 (not the TI one) Faildos 7 @ 64 bit
CPU might or might not get upgraded this month, but that's another matter altogether.

I was able to reproduce this problem, until I updated my graphics driver while writing this. Now everything appears to be working fine. First:

Windows 7
Alienware M17XR3 (Yes I paid for pretty lights. I like the pretty lights)
Intel(R) Core i7-2630QM @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz
8.00GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6870M
DirectX-9

Here's what was happening:

Start Eve, push play, select character, load, etc...

Everything worked well at this point except Alienware keyboard lighting which stayed at my default color scheme. Frame rate at this point was a stable 60ish fps.

Hit ESC, keyboard lights change to Eve Blue. Close ESC window, and framerate starts to wobble between 40 - 60 fps.

Alienware keyboard support checkbox was checked the whole time.

But I just updated my graphics drivers and now I can't reproduce the problem. Have not tried in DirectX 11. Hope this helps a little bit. I'll see how DX11 works and if I can make it happen again.

Edit: Can't reproduce problem in either DX9 or DX11 after updating drivers. Still need to call up and then close ESC menu to get my pretty lights though.
