Mobile depots seem a bit OP'd

#1) the utility of the Orca has taken a big hit (relatively), it used to be used as a mobile fitting station in high sec systems with no station, its now irrelevant.

#2) Its basically invulnerable in high sec, with a 2 day reenforcement, and all you have to do is scoop it

#3) Its very very very useful.
I can now undock in a brick tank, fly to my mission, deploy it, and switch fits mid fight.
Once jams are off field, ECCMs dissappear, with the click of a button, I switch between passive tank to active tank fits, high DPS fits, sniper fits, etc...

I just warp in a mission, launch it, and just adjust my tanking and other modules as needed, I don't even fit a prop mod for gate travel initially, after I clear the room, I put on a MWD, scoop the depot, MWD to the next gate, and then 1 minute later, remove the mwd.

Its made fitting for a mission much easier, I now pretty much bring whatever I might have use for, webs, TPs, MJDs, MWDs, ABs, active and passive tank mods, armor reppers (even when shield tanked), heck, even warp core stabs.... if I somehow screw up, I can always just fit a bunch of stabs and warp off (or fit a MJD, and jump).

I can fit shiny modules, and with the click of a button if someone comes on grid and looks to be in a ganking ship, I've ot a brick tank fit, and a couple more clicks, and all my shiny modules are in a structure thats immune for 2 days, and I can come back and scoop in a massively tanked ship.

This makes flying shiny much safer, provided one is attentive

I would say I'm making an observation rather than a complaint.

They are really, really good.

I have an Orca alt, but I don't mine, I think I might get rid of the alt now..

#1) I didn't know that the mobile depot could move on its own

#2) Stations are even more OP. Not only are they invulnerable themselves, but they do also make your ship invulnerable, got unlimited space and offer a lot of great features

#3) Only a small fraction of mission runners will make use of this and it is not like it will change anything in the big picture. Lv 4 missions aren't really supposed to be hard either.

They are op. I have a feeling they wont be useable while under a weapons, npc, or pilot timer in the future.

Also, it'll come in handy if you have to travel a few jumps to your mission. Take all your bling off and replace with a travel buffer tank for the journey and when the idiot gankers scan your ship they'll only see your travel buffer tank (have an alt carry your bling in a covert ops). Get to mission area, deploy depot, drop can for alt and fit bling.

This sounds like an enormous waste of time and a waste of an alt too. Why not less bling your fit and fit up a second ship for multiboxing?

I don't need or want to dual box missions, one marauder is plenty enough. Why go cheap on the fit when the hull is a billion'ish isk? My fit is around 975 million, definitely worth taking measures IMO.

Or just travel fit and carry your bling. Your travel fit would of course be tanked like a brick, and once your depot is deployed in mission, if anyone shows up, you can save all your bling with a few clicks.

Never enough dps. A sentry domi set to assist on your marauder is cake.

I didn't say to cheap fit, I assumed you actually meant a bling fit. 975m is not a bling fit.

You've got me thinking now... LOL

Yeah, my idea of bling is about the cost of the hull :)

The orca is useful for many divergent purposes. People that have an orca for one reason often never use it in its other roles. Orcas are fine.

Changing fittings while under attack has been "a thing" for quite some time. Rooks and Kings even have a video about it (sorry, can't link since I'm at work and all the interesting stuff is "not available on mobile" or "not available in your country" or "blocked by firewall due to: gaming").

One thing to be able to change fits with a billion isk ship that can be killed. Another to be changing with an indestructible 2 million isk mod you can scoop after fitting your 8 WCS or ECM and escape a PvP engagement.
