Chribba would be indeed 1 of the most famous players in EVE
then theres Entity, Innominate Nightmare, Ginger Magician (who had a database of rare items in EVE including pictures of beta, and rare screenshots of Live game)

Tank CEO would probly be the most notorious back in the old days of eve
Skillz, Daakkon, Starvos (of m0o), Lord Zap (also from m0o)

there's also people who controlled some the most powerful alliances such as
SirMolle of BoB, CYVOK of Ascendant Frontier
