I want to Ninja Gas Harvest some WH's in my Venture, but worried about being scanned down and ganked.

My thoughts are to fit:


ArrowECCM Sensor Cluster in a mid
ArrowWarp Core Stab in the low
ArrowMedium Shield Extender

Would that be enough to lower my signature and perhaps survive a volley to get to a safe spot if attacked?

Yeah those would help you escape if someone tries to get you, be warned though, many WH citizens have cloaky combat ships and it's just a matter of time before you lose that Venture. Ninja harvesting can be very profitable though because Ventures and so cheap yet so effective. Making yourself harder to scan down can help, but sometimes the locals would have scanned it down before you got there. Try find empty systems to do this if possible.

The only way you could lose a Venture in a gas cloud is being afk or generally sloppy.
Go inside the cloud, following the beam from your extractors - even with smaller clouds you will be at least 10-15k away from the edge. In the bigger ones you will be over 50K away. If anything warps to the site, even a cloaky, they will end up on the edge 15K-60K away from you, which is plenty of time to warp of, given the Ventures agility.

Also cloaky tackles have targeting delay - again plenty of time to run away.

Dont sit on the edge of the cloud, stay aligned, keep on the dscan and nothing can catch you.

You dont really need the rigs, this is hard to catch and if they do good on them
