Sound Issues Since Rubicon Patch

Hi,

I didnt have any 'battle' sound issues; now I do.

When I am in the heat of battle and battle sounds pick up they get way over distorted or clipped so bad it is unhearable.

Win 7 64
16G ram
Internal Sound - I cant get Creative Sounds to work; I may try to get a card in there but the onboard card does very well

I am wondering if I am the only one experiencing major sound clipping/distortion in battle.

Sounds are almost half the game and the sound effects are very nice; kudos there.

I will look in settings; I do have and had a slow connection last nite but I am thinking it isnt the connection; I will check into a few things; I dont want to add a seperate sound card.

Again it was okay before Rubicon patch.

There is also a glitch where the 'map' UI sound can get a little loud and obnoxious; going in and out of map sometimes fixes it; I dont like the map UI sound; it was actually a little better before patch but still annoying.

I stream also; so I will do a battle scene without streaming; unless I find any fixes I wont add to the post.

Hello,

My Sound Problem: Resolved.

I do live streams; it is kind of fun actually I really like to stream however when there are many things goin on like a heavy battle with many ships I cant stream without lagg; I get many lagg spikes and sound breaks and distorts.

WITHOUT streaming, the sound is FINE ! IE I can play the game again now with much 'pew pew' as someone put it and DO NOT have amy sound problems there.

I apologize for takng space here. I am running 4 cores at around 2700; I made adjustments to my stream and do what I can; I can still stream other facets of the game which will be nice.

Other than the map sounds, which I cant really place yet, and the idea of losing sounds and slowly recovering them; I am not sure; in general the sounds in game seem to be working fine now; and the quality of the effects, are just 'Out Of This World' !

Thank you CCP for an immersive gaming experience in that regard.

Sound Issue Reseolved !

for streaming, try using a dedicated network card.

i noticed strange sound issues when i had a very heavy network traffic, whether being streaming games OR heavy DL (100Mb/s connection ftw!)

something related to the fact integrated network and audio often share pci bus.

i since then added a pci network card i had around => no more audio issue EVER, give it a try Big smile
