The point of marauders is the ability to fit damage mods and damage application mods, as bastion eases tanking. But this is only my approach; I prefer fast killing.

The damage control is required to make suicide ganking moreexpensive and tedious.

Would you care to explain the reason why stacking penalties are bad to everyone?

Vargur/Golem cannot permatank with XLSB (even with x-Type DS) in Bastion; where the Paladin/Kronos can with a T2 LAR, give it a DS and you are just rolling at the fact you can permatank that high a DPS.

Vargur/Golem can switch damage type; Paly/Kronos cannot.

Shields auto regen, Armor does not.

Personally, I favor the Kronos. I can permatank, still have two Mag Stabs, still hold a ridiculous tank. I can reach 120k with 2 volleying cruisers and have a great ROF compared to the Vargur. Anything I dont kill I have my drones, or my MJD to get range again.

MJD Back and forth between the same spots leaves all wrecks in a 110km range of eachother. So you're mobile tractor unit can grab them all, or your noctis alt.

You are a Rubicon marauder. You don't move when killing **** except to MJD or go to your next accel gate. This whole theory of being a noctis/dreadnaught in one is garbage unless you are making sure you kill stuff within tractor range. Which then makes the MJD Bonus completely useless.

If you need to permatank a L4, then the problem is you and not the ship. In Bastion, you should only need to pulse the shield booster, and even at that it isn't very often. Being able--for me--to go from 25% shields to 75% shields every two minutes is more than enough in my Vargur. Obviously, without HG Crystals it becomes a bit more often that you pulse. But at the same time, it's still pulsing, not running continuously.

And I agree: in L4s you aren't moving. In fact, when you do move it's usually to a gate some 10 to 50km away, making the MJD impractical. In fact, until you get to L5s it's not needed. With that MWD I can move 1,018 m/sec, meaning I travel the distance in a respectable amount of time.

Overall, the ship has sufficient damage potential (including application) for L4s to clear them with relative ease. It has ease of movement, and a strong tank.

Leadership is something you learn. Maybe one day, you'll learn that.

I would completely agree. I generally run the same setup for L4 as I do for Sigs/Anoms because I like having three or so damage dealing ships for PVE instead of 10. The point I wanted to show was the ability to perma-tank with an armor ship and still be able to manage two Damage Mods. As I don't need the extra tracking, inbetween the Bastion module's bonus. My MJD lowering the need for higher numbers of tracking.

And yes, some missions I just put on a MWD instead of the MJD because, its ******* pointless to go 132 m/s for 50k.. Unless you are good with the MJD and can use that to your benefit. you are looking at 2-3m of traveling, while the MJD makes it 70-80s. Again that is perfect landing skills though..

Four gyrostabs and burst aerator is pretty standard. You have no use for the extra tank or capacitor, but you can always use more dps to get better isk ticks.

1st RF: 21.1% DPS increase
2nd RF: 18.7%
3rd RF: 12.2%
Burst Aerator II: 7.4%
Gyro II: 3.6%

The heavily stacking penalized Gyro II provides a 3.6% DPS increase for a paltry ~750k. A 3% damage implant goes for ~20M. What's not to like?
