You replied to me though, so um. Perhaps you should focus your rhetoric? Im only trying to make you better at your job in damage control.

Since none of you have gone in detail about this damage that I'm apparently sent to control, please explain to me what you mean by that. You seem to quite like the term.

You've been using the term damage control. That implies that there's a damage that I need to control by spewing propaganda. Which damage? We have been winning for a month straight, what are you even talking about? This is like the fountain war, only that we've switched sides and it's lowsec so nobody cares vOv. Plus you guys are more elitist and tryhard than we've ever been

I do, Xgal. Thanks for the help :)

What?!?!

That post is the first time i have used the term 'damage control' in my entire eve career.

If you have been winning, why so much damage control?

You're using these words, I don't think you know what they mean. If gallente is not losing, why do we own 90% of the war zone?

You know, the more I read this thread, the more I can't help but think that most of this debate has just been a culture clash. No one who signs up for faction war does it to control space, they join up for the easy access to smaller scaled pvp. The allure is being able to log in and be next to a fiery wreck in 5 minutes. TEST on the other hand have spent years in an environment where controlling space was the central aspect of the game. 90% of the point of Sov-null is being able to raise your flag somewhere; sovless groups like BL (and TEST I suppose) are a novelty.

Sure controlling space can be cool and all, but if that's what people are into they generally head to Sov-null, not Faction War. Us militia folk don't wanna raise no flags, we just wanna make stuff go boom.

The problem with GalMil has become clear, you have lost sight of what a big part of FW should be and that is a training ground for newbro's. None of you GalMil 'big dogs' are concerned about warzone control because you've been doing this so long you have alts cashing out in CalMil space and have been sitting on piles of ISK so all you need to do is sit back in your sniping ships and camp gates. No newbro is learning anything from that and certainly not making the ISK they SHOULD be. YOU may not care about FW control but I would bet the poor GalMil line members do. The newbros who were hoping to make some isk and learn to PVP are suffering.[...]

GalMil newbro's, if you're reading this please believe our programs are real. These are not lies. These are not tricks. These are not scams. You will get quality ISK for your efforts. You will cut your teeth in PVP against the GalMil elitists. You will not be forgotten with us like the GalMil 'elite' have forgotten about you.

I, as the Director For Newbro Integration for Noob Mercs [PHAIL] , the training corporation of Monkeys with Guns [BNANA], feel very offended!

Seriously man, not cool!
#elitepvp tryhards are in every militia but dont dare to tell us from BNANA we wouldnt care about our newbros.

i have had no idea what you meant for the last 2 pages. You keep replying to individuals with generalised rhetoric addressing things that those people have never said.

well on some ground you are right. FW is based around WZ control and it has consequences, which is good and all. And yes, due to overhelming numbers of Farmers and Fleet members you gained 90% of the zone. Gratz on that. But that was achieved by nameless farmer hordes of CalMil and some Null-sec faggots not once but several times before, so not really a great achievment of yours.....Get the medal (for full control) and then you really made a great achievment in Sov-FW, and i be the first to gratulate and praise you.

On the other hand -you must know by now-, WZ-control is (nearly) meaningless to most of us FW-pvpers, as the main motivation is not to get isk out of FW (this many of us do with farming alts^^ right now based on your reaching of T4 and spending LP to hold it^^) but to get fun out of it via gudfights (which for each of us might be a lil different as well). On that ground you achieved a lot i must say, As with you in the WZ my GF-o-meter is nearly tilt to the max the whole time. On that groud, we all really win ;)

And i must say, get better folks, most of your fleets are still bad as ****, and on individual basis i only found 1 (exactly!) Test guy who had good pvp skills. Be happy, there is much room to improve Twisted

Sorry that my bomber keeps losing to your stiletto, I'm trying. While this is certainly a case of two cultures clashing, there's a whole lot of shitflinging going on. There are somewhat reasonable people like Xgal or you and then you have people llike Crosi who are so bad that they can't even troll properly.

The fact is that calmil was a dead body when the great turtle-headed TEST dino entered the game. What followed is best described as an invasion of brainless dinos in talwars who quickly burned down everything but the most resilient of systems. While this is to some degree due to farmers, TEST singlehandedly pushing caldari to t2 on our second afternoon and then taking 50% of the warzone in the first week is certainly not due to 3rd party farmers.

We're now enjoying our LP and ISK showers and are aiming for that shiny medal. What exactly do you need for that, by the way? Is capturing all the systems enough or do you need to get every single one to V?

Can´t argue against that. I´ve said it before and I will say it again, TEST joining CalMil was the best thing that could happen to our warzone, for both sides.

Be careful with such predictions, the last weeks were filled with those, as much as I know none of them were right.

"Innia by sunday"
"Eha next week"

Again, by both sides :)

It's all good imo, TEST caters to everyone

1) provides a community for those who enjoy grinding imaginary space kredits and ascii art in a PVP game
2) easy kills to those who enjoy winning engagements in a PVP game

Fighting TEST is like shooting rats- they don't do much damage, they don't have any strategy, but there's a lot of them and each drops a little loot and gives a little LP bounty.

Actually, you are missing some points there - while Calmil was indeed quite dead before you entered, what has happened since in terms of sov swing (emphasize is on sov swing, not tier rising) really was not solely or predominantly due to test - it was due to farmers.

Now, let me explain (again, for n-th time). Yes you guys did bash iHubs and poured LP for tier upgrades, but getting those systems vulnerable was much more due to general farmer activity. Btw - guess who profited most from all you did (hint: it wasn't your alliance or 'old guard' calmil*).
Naturally, I expect your standard 'damage control' reply here - but before that, take a look at numbers. FW stats are available through API and you can check them for yourself. Take last week for example - during that period total Calmil VPs stand at 185.300. Out of those, State Protectorate got 66.380 (35,8%), while Dreddit got 20.000 (10,7 %). Rest of Test corps are not in top 10, but its quite obvious - if you took out SP (State Protectorate), you'd not get too far in sov war, especially considering that a decent amount of your (Dreddit/Test) VP's came out of plexing our home systems in your attempts of overtaking them. There is also an undisclosed amount of Amarr farmers that helped Calmil in our WZ which contributed to the swing, but due to lack of indicators of their influence, let's just ignore them. It's been pretty much like this from day 1 of you joining, the data is there for anyone to check and see, if they want to.

Test entry resulted in a re-invigorated warzone, which is really great. Also, your entry brought back a fair numbers of sore losers from the past (*cough* Khan *cough*) which I find both amusing and a bit sad since they'll leave again as soon as the things start going south for Cals (Incursions are more fun then FW, right?). However, the key to CalMil rise was not your activity, it was re-activation of farmer alts after you joined. As it was said so many times before, this was expected and "all of this has happened before", you just fail to realize that we're not trolling you, its just the way FW works. Ultimately, if it makes you feel better or 'relevant' to make numerous posts of forums about how awesome and superior you are, go on. I guess it acts as a kind of therapy after being kicked around so bad during past 6 or so months v0v.

You only need to take all the systems. Only.

Charlie, I wouldn't place too much importance on "XX by YY" - after all we've been going with the VFK by AT/october/christmas gimmick for over a year now. I do believe that we'll get Eha this week though, there's not too much resistance. Pizza promise.

All this bickering is the same crap over and over, I even had to like a Templis post (The humanity)!!!!

Here are the sides as I see it and I have been relatively inactive lately.

Test: Grind LP/Get rich (Then what?). Believes that "Winning" FW is by holding only 90% of FW space.

Cal Mil: Templis, Talons, yada yada, looking for some nice fights. Majority of cal mil are warp core stabbed farmers or in ships with no fittings.

Gal Mil: Doesn't give a hot damn about holding FW space. Wishes Test would push home systems so they can destroy them in PVP not PVE LP grinding.

So all in all here are the stats.

Test: Great at grinding LP. Lacks ability to take home systems. (Eha, Nenna, Nisuwa.)

Cal Mil: Been farming forever. Nothing has changed. Couple good corps that like to bring fights that are good and not slaughterfests.

Gal Mil: Good FCs, willingly engage fights / look for them. Would rather fight than do plexes.

The over all picture. Test swarms Gal Mil with a crap ton of pilots and chest beats about 90% of FW with no real no notable gains. Gal Mil destroys Test in engagements. All in all I think everyone is happy. Test gets to cheer about doing nothing special and Gal Mil gets to massively pad their killboards.
