That would be the kind of shithead thing for CCP to do...

take away something awesome, turn it to a piece-o-****, then make you pay to get it back. F*ck that noise.

Camouflage colours such as those don't make any sense. For space you would paint your ship black or have some nebula colours to it. Since we detect them with various scanners and overviews - camouflage doesn't make any sense.

I bet some "patriotic" American is behind this .. that or some guy that wanted to work on war games.

... Paint schemes will not make you less vunerable in space. Space sensors are reliant on a numbe of other things aside from photons. The most telltale is thermics and mass. Both are which current technology of the space shuttle can be SPOTTED and LOCKED onto from beyond pluto.

Fast forward 400 years in space and paint schemes are even less senisble.

Chances are they are based on thier army uniforms.

Yes, which makes it more obviously some war game fantasy problems with the art people.

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Something along the lines of a directive that states "If no other more effective camo pattern or paint scheme is available, all military assets will use the default standard camo pattern until further notice".

Since no other "more effective" paint scheme was available for star ships, as they are all equally ineffective, the standard directive has stood unchallenged for centuries.

Military experts are calling this SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). Smile

The last effective one would have been black. What?

That camo green would never have been effective. It is illogical.

Goddammit CCP, we want to see that colour scheme on less ships, not more. I might actually enjoy flying my Navy Mega if it didn't look like something someone had coughed up.

I take it back, the Navy Mega is actually not a total disaster now.

Though it's still got nothing on the Kronos, aka The Sexiest Ship In Space. Goddamn do I love that Duvolle blue and gold, especially now the gold's properly metallic looking. Shocked

EDIT: I just went outside to look at a nebula and squealed like a little girl.

I wish they could make the fed navy ships either black/grey like to old navy mega, or metallic/yellow like this mega http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/graphics/ids/512/2139.jpg

imagine a metal/yellow navy comet or vexor.

Camo = fail. The orange color scheme is win! Propogate the orange scheme to all Fed Navy ships!

And yeah, put the light back on the comet.

No, black would have been no more effective than standard camo... as all camo/paint schemes would have no effect what -so-ever on ship scanners.

If you're talking about my pic, yeah, the top is the new-look Kronos. The bottom is the Navy.

Anyway, I went outside and took some pictures.

Stopped by the Leviathan and said hi. Saw this. ...ALRIGHTY. And this. Still some bugs to fix, hehe. I'd take some more of the Caldari ships, but Christ I forgot how boring these things are.

Took me a while to track one down, but I found a Roden Police Major. I have loved that skin ever since I laid eyes on it. Sometimes I wish players could fly them, but then I remember that Roden does missiles, ick.

Now I'm angry again.

The blinking light was awesome!!

I'd not mind the Arazu changing thought, it's animation annoys me.

Always ... Never ... Forget to check your references.   Peace out Zulu! Hope you land well!
