it seams now i have the same issue, even though i run eve on windows. this has occurred after today's mini update. the first launch went smoothly and all worked fine until i had to reconnect (from the same platform). i can choose my character but after that, when you go into the station hangar, all i get is a black screen.


EDIT: never mind, there has been an emergency downtime due to TQ power issues :) hope this fixes the issue

I have a black screen problem as well. After few minutes of flying the game client froze and I had to force quit. When I tried to start the game again the launcher worked fine but the game itself was just a black screen with only a mouse cursor visible. I could select a char, hear sounds etc. though.

Edit:

I tried to run a test server Singularity and it works perfectly. I assume the problem might be in the last small patch.

Hey,

here is how to solve it:

You need to delete the Cache data from out of the game because ccp is ...

You press windows key + R

copy in : %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\

you only have to delete the files in the subs

c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility (double click) --> cache (double click)

delete the files in these sub categories like eve mail and so on .

ONLY THE CONTAINING STUFF INSIDE NOT THE FOLDERS

i deleted the cache and now the launcher freezes and crashes every time i load the launcher.
