You will never take moons that are worth a penny as Hub Zero will inevitably break apart due to infighting long before you get the numbers to field a mid-sized fleet, nvm capitals.

Here's a prediction: The Hub Zero group will break apart due to ~personality conflicts~ at the latest once it reaches ~10 players. The majority of your group will probably join Hand of Darkness as a (prospering) corporation, while Aaron, you and maybe 1-2 others will stay behind - back on square one. You will never get anywhere near the point at which you could hope to contest anyone's moons.
This is what will happen, feel free to hold me to this prediction.

You're prepared to put a small wager on this then? I know you to be an honorable person and I like you so when Drac and I win I'm sure you will pay up. Big smile

This is very different from old times Bronski, people have been crying out for this for a while and I just happen to be here doing this. Everyone interested in coming down wants this and Hub Zero is getting lots of publicity. Dracvlad and I are busy organising standings responding to prospects and the thing is we are finding a mature level of player interested in this, and I look forward to having a proper chat with these guys on a weekend evening with some wine. I really can't see where any disagreement could come from because the people coming down respect Dracvlad and I alot.

I know Hub Zero will be in a position where you will be involved and helping us Bronski. soon. Big smile

Thanks for the loan of the JF though. I respect you lots for it and honestly I'm glad it's safe in your possession.

Interesting prediction. I'm not going down to join a corporation or alliance. I'm going down to a) help out if I can because the idea is a good one b) to pvp c) to make lots of isk running sigs as usual.

In terms of breaking apart at least in respect of myself, I'd have to be an official member of something to have it break apart. Since I won't be, I'll just be a friendly pilot or 10, I shouldn't' have to worry about that.

Hi Aaron.

I'm sorry I made a thread dissing you, in truth it was somewhat ironically written.

Keep up the good work, groups like this are really good for the game as they shake it up!

You see Bronski, this is the very essence of Hub Zero, just cool guys helping each other out. No one is fighting to be the leader because we are all leaders in our own right. We can learn lots from Infinity and the trick is to learn it well so that we can teach it to other people.

We already have rather more than 10 people, no breakup so far! You are missing one important fact in your prediction, these people are in their own corps, as I said before, the majority of people joining us are old players who have been there and done it.

And an amusing incident in terms of Hand of Darkness, you do know that a couple months back a corp renting from Darkness of Despair handed their system over to N3 because Darkness of Despair pilots kept doing their sites, that is the reality of renting and people know it.

So I won't hold you to that prediction.

I rather enjoyed that too, including the OP's first post, I sometimes want to ask how Aaron managed to make his avatar have such a smug expression on his face, funny thing is that most days I look at and I have a wow, just wow moment. How did he do it, why did he do it, its hilarious, its like hidden promises of fun and games to come Big smileShockedRollTwisted

Yes of course, join the Hub-Zero channel and we can chat about it, in any channel window you will find a caption icon, like you get in comics, left click that and enter Hub-Zero in the Channels name box and click join. Apologies if you already know how to do that, but best to make sure.

Then we can have a chat about what you want to fly and do, what we suggest you train up and how we can help get you up and running as quickly as possible.

I used to suggest that people get into a covert ops before coming to 0.0, however I think interceptors are better in terms of moving around 0.0 at this point, due to the immunity to bubbles, its been great seeing a reduction in bubble camps as more people use interceptors as 0.0 taxi's. My suggestion would be to train up Gallente frigate 5 and then into an interceptor, then do covert ops and Assault frigate, then round out the skills to fly them well including t2 small blasters. I am actually training Gallente Frigate 5 at this moment, 2 hours and 48 minutes left as the Enyo has very good DPS for small gang frigate ratting, which I would suggest is your target ship for this. However you can get stuck in with a T1 frigate as long as you can use a cloak, the cloak is important in terms of controlling the chances of PvP when you are not really setup for it.

The benefit for you is that even if this turns out not to be what you were after, those skills will give you fun options in faction warfare and RvB and in any case frigate combat is fun.

Having done a carrier run for myself yesterday to take some goodies to hisec I got back to it, was feeling lazy so belt ratting was my preferred approach.

Last week I got a True Sansha with a low grade snake implant worth 330m plus a Sansha medium neut with 30m, which made it worthwhile heading back to hisec to sell those and at the same time put a load of BS I have in hisec up for sale. So I start working the belts, its very quiet, only a couple of people passing through, one of who I know and a quick wave at him, anyway at around 30 minutes to DT I get a hauler spawn, which has 62.5m Trit in it and an Aeode Mining Laser Upgrade which is worth 539m. So now we have a race against the DT clock, in the end I managed to collect 42m units of trit, which is worth just over 200m. Not bad 739m for lazy belt ratting, though I am not so sure that I can call the mad scramble to collect all that trit as being lazy...

Hey everyone, I hope you're having a great Valentines Day.

I'm feeling very positive about the prospects of Hub Zero surviving because we are well on the way to laying a solid foundation for future generations of Eve players to build on.

I am happy about Infinity Ziona Deciding to join us because he seems dedicated to spreading the word about survival in 0.0, this really is becoming a gathering of some of the greatest minds in Eve and I can't wait to get stuck in.

Come to chat channel "Hub-Zero" if you are interested.

Hey Guys,

I thought I'd give you a quick update.

We have managed to take down a few DD offline pos's and managed to scoop almost 800m in loot that Drac and I have decided to donate to Hub Zero.

Pilots continue to come to Hub Zero and we have had another well known player commit to coming down next week. I am very happy high caliber players are joining this.

We have had a few unknown players come down here and start doing pve, if you do decide to come down it really is a good idea to contact Dracvlad or myself and make yourself known, we can all benefit from having more friends.

This really is happening folks and it does appear to be working, I have read the replies here and there are some folk that wanted to get involved but felt this concept would not work and I would ask that you re-evaluate your decision and try to see that you being involved will make it work. I know there are lots of cool guys who have lots to contribute in hi-sec.

Things are going well on the trade front but it could be better. I for one am crying out for Planetary goods and our very own Dracvlad has done lots of analysis and found that everything for Planetary is here. So if there is someone who wants to take care of some Planetary please do not hesitate to contact us. I'd be happy to pay a little more than Jita prices for goods produced here.

The possibilities really are endless here and iv'e seen some great ideas being talked about by the Hub members, the vibes are really good down here and I am stil amazed that the people involved have trusted each other and complete strangers are getting on very well.

As you can see I am very happy at the moment, I am prepared to put so much into this and I am going to fight till the very end to ensure the Hub and it's members are safe.

Regards,

Sadly the price in hisec of those moon loot goodies is not that great so less than 500m, and that is going to the JF fund.

At this point we now control three moons in the constellation, which have good moon goo and we have eyes on another one, which will be more of a challenge, in other words its online.

The target systems for PI have been identified and after the JF they will be the next objective, taxes on Hub Zero POCO's will be set very low. Things are developing well at this point, looking forward to the first stress test Big smile

Well I was looking at the Phantasm and that front spike really does look like a ramming weapon with the ship structure looking like it was designed to support the shock from its use.

Just curious, how many blues do you have in local during your peak hours at this point? At some point soon I may pay a visit. Have you got some sort of internal jump freighter service making regular runs?

I just read your blog, nice blog by the way, its a growing number and quite good, we are certainly developing nicely. Is that a friendly visit? Big smile

JF not quite there yet, but almost there thanks to one of our members getting a juicy officer spawn and myself and another helping him, so he made a very nice donation. In terms of runs, I can assure you that they will be irregular, Big smile
