Before the pseudo server crash yesterday several corp mates noticed that parts of their UI were missing. During fleet at the same time black screens showed up for many of the fleet. Late last night I experienced all of the buttons to the left of the capacitor were missing (no, they were not minimized) on a Merlin but everything was fine in an industrial. Cache clearing, relogging, rebooting, multiple undock/docks - nothing changed the behavior.

What in the world did you do CCP?

My alliance is in a war, and have the open for allies option enablet,
but no one can help, because the submit button is missing when trying to offer assistance.

Problem came after the patch a few days ago.

I would like to confirm this issue. I am completely unable to send assistance offers to parties trying to hire my corporation for assistance contracts, and have to declare war manually.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

Never had a disconnect before Rubicon in all the time I have played Eve Online.

Computer has not changed, Internet provider has not changed.

I am aware that I am not, by any means the only one to have noticed this.

Stuff changing ingame, ship rebalancing etc is fine, one adapts.

Not being able to play is not fine.

Please get it sorted.

Same thing going on here. I've been playing on a laptop, and a PC, for years. Following the recent patch, I have had multiple disconnects on the laptop. This is random, and no specific time. System monitoring shows that memory and cpu use are just fine. I thought it was due perhaps to multiple clients, but I've been doing that from the start on the laptop. Even single client dc's at after a random amount of time. If there is somewhat I can help t resolve, please let me know. If I can send any files or such, just ask.

Very, Very, annoying.

I travel often with the laptop, and expect it in hotels and such. However on my home network, I never dc, or not very often at all. I was running my laptop side by side with my PC this weekend. PC just fine, laptop dc's.

No, I have not made any recent hardware changes, or new software changes on my laptop.

I'll be browsing the ships in market, checking out info on them as I compare. I'll be doing this for around 10-25 minutes before the window just closes on its own.

I try to pull it back up, I get a blink of where it should be, but then it disappears again. I click on the market again and it appears to be trying to close it, but it's not showing me it's open. So I click it again, and get the blink again. Happens over and over. I have to press esc around 10 times to even get the exit game option, when it's not working the entire UI clicks on and off on esc spam . dragging the mouse on the station to try and pan around the spaceship only works 30% of the time when this happens as well.

Please fix the solar system map.

Previously it would open showing a general view of the whole local system.

Now it opens showing an extreme zoomed-in view of a tiny part of it.

Could this be related in some way to the insane ultra-zoomed-in view of the ship when undocking?

Whatever - please fix these issues.

Well aperently you aint in a hurry fixin the war mecanism,
I understant why, it aint like it's a importaint bug,
it only affect every alliance and corporation in War,
and every mercenary or suport corporation who want to offer assistance in a war.
and it's not like it's gona change anything for them if it get fixed.

I am getting a complete client freeze every couple of hours of game play. So far this has always happened in level 4 missions, when fighting. The missions that I freeze in tend to be larger ones (just happened twice running World's collide, in two different rooms.) The client has been in windowed mode, visible but in the background with Chrome open in the foreground.

It has happened with drone boats - dominix and non drone boats - tengu (seemingly more often, but that may be random). It has always happened with at least half a dozen rats shooting at me, leading me to close the client rapidly to re-log and avoid ship loss. Client closure is effected by clicking on the X in the top right hand corner of the window. Microsoft brings up a little dialog saying it is searchin g for reasons why the application isn't responding but I cancel that in order to re-log more quickly. (In the distant past I've lost ships to client hangs so I am cautious around them now.)

Everything on the Eve screen freezes, guns, ewar timers, etc. Clicking on the screen sometimes seems to turn the screen pale grey.

Hitting play on the existing launcher launches a new instance of Eve and I can re-log and play until the next freeze.

The client freezing seemed to start a few days ago, I am pretty sure that they weren't happening pre-Rubicon.

The rest of the computer - memory, processor, network seems to be fine during the freeze although I haven't really experimented very much with doing stuff.

Edit: Client just froze in the foreground, no other application on top of it.

Drone drag and drop occasionally seems to mess up the drone window. I will drag drones into space and they will appear on the overview but not in the "Droned in Local Space" area of the drones window. Which means that watching their health is very difficult.

I believe that right clicking on drones in local space allows you to pull the drones into your drone bay even though they don't show up, and you can launch more but once the problem has happened the newly launched drones don't show up either.

Docking and un-docking fixes the drone window.

Still happening.,actually seems worse at times. Still no word on a fix?

Update: I rebooted my system and all's well. It managed to find and install the download.
Mac client will freeze from time to time though. But it now happens far less frequently after the past couple of patches.
====================

Mac client here and getting this message when trying to log in today:

"There was an unexpected error while retrieving update status:
Unable to download file /590158/evepremiumpatch590158-mac.tgz from the server.
Error: url //cdn1.eveonline.com/590158/evepremiumpatch590158-mac.tgz not found
Do you want to go to support page?"

Long and short - I can't log in.

Thanks!

I've been experiencing a pretty random issue for at least 3 days now (or at least that's how long it's been since I've noticed) where my ships lose alignment when switching between clients. At first, I just assumed that I must be imagining things or that I must have accidentally misaligned my own ships, but no, alas, it has happened far too many times now to be user error. Something is amiss.

I always keep my ships aligned to station and I even care enough to make sure the distance between them is roughly the same, so deviations are pretty noticable. When I switch between accounts, one ship sometimes is found at roughly 270 degrees (or 9 o'clock) of it's prevous alignment.

If I had accelerated, they'd still be moving. So unless I'm being bumped by invisible gremlins, (or permacloaked devs) I'm at a loss to explain it. It's happened at least 5-6 times in different ship types on at least 2 of my accounts.

Figured it was time to chime in and tell someone.

Yonis. When you say 'aligned', do you mean that the ships are still moving, or did you turn the ships towards the station and then stop them?

Ships in EVE don't actually have a facing, they only have a velocity. Since velocity is speed+direction, when there's no speed, there's no direction and no alignment

e: I forgot to mention. Since a ship that isn't moving has no alignment, the game just points the ship model north

When I wrote 'aligned,' I definately meant "turned toward the station and then stopped." When you position all your ships perfectly in line with a station and are ready to warp out if trouble arises, finding your ships at some crazy angle you know you didn't leave them in is pretty strange. I was thinking at first that it was a camera issue where when I "look at" another object, an asteroid, a visitor to the belt I'm in etc, and then "reset camera," that this was the culprit, but it just happened again today and I didn't do that this time. I minimized one client, maximized a 2nd, and when I went back to the first, the ship was no longer pointed toward the station. It isn't moving. It's just repositioned somehow.
