Lost my first ship today

Just lost my first ship, never have i felt such regret keeping on fighting. Just the pure anger i got from it, it's a good thing you know, it means the game is good. How did you feel when you lost your first ship?

Lost a Velator or two, but still keep my "first" ship, a Navitas, in my hanger. Lost a few since then, but meh.

If you can even remember your first loss you're not PVPing enough. That, or your first loss was spectacular.

Lost my first several ships on another account back in 2008 when I started playing to PVE.

I was pretty pissed off at the time, as I assumed the game would hold your hand through the tutorial and provide you with the basic resources necessary to complete level 1 missions without mandating the use of the market or communication with other players.

I quit for about a year and a half.

Edit:
First sizable PVP loss was a scorpion. I can't remember why I had or why I lost it, but I remember that I didn't really care at the time.

Not a forum alt.

Burning my Punisher straight into a Thrasher. 0 transversal against an anti frig ship worked out excatly as you might expect.

I decided that my Brutix with 7 PD's and 5 LSE's, with a full rack of meta0 Neutron Blasters was ready for PvP.

And so, I flew out to the nearest station, dropped a jetcan, and waiting for someone to steal it. An Ishkur liberated me from my Brutix without taking a single bit of armor damage.

Confusion, up until this point I'd only flown rookie ships that were always replaced when I landed in a station, then someone gave me a Rifter and I promptly lost it in a lvl 1 mission. I asked in local what I was supposed to do when my ship blew up. "Buy another one" somebody said.

So I grabbed the only thing I could afford, a 30k Slasher (the old kind) and slowly worked my way back up to another Rifter. I'm lucky I learned this lesson with T1 frigs before carebearing it up to a BS or Mining Barge and often suspect this is why a lot of ppl rage-quit EVE after their first time being ganked or lagging out to rats.

I felt like my ship was under powered and his ship was overpowered and should be nerfed.

The only way to learn how not to lose them is to lose them.

My first loss was a Navitas, back when it was a mining ship. I got brave and ignored the "you're now in a concord-free zone" warning as I strolled into lowsec for some Jaspet. Made three trips there and back to high sec, got popped on the fourth, wtf'd for a few minutes, then tried again :p

I believe it was a Kestrel that I lost first.

I was doing some trivial anom sites with a couple of NPC frigates, and just finished one. I warped to another site, but it wasn't the one I was expecting; I had warped to a newly spawned site instead. It was a MUCH higher level, filled with LOTS of ships; not just a few frigates, but everything up to battleships. I was stunned after warp-in, and was looking at all the ships, and I was incinerated half a thought later.

2nd loss, Retriever: "WTF!" (Surprise rare NPC spawn in mission deadspace that was undocumented at the time. I had borrowed the Retriever.)

3rd loss, Raven: "Ugh. I'm a moron." (Next day after I got Raven.)

4th(?) loss, Tengu: "That was monumentally stupid of me." (I attacked bait small POS in a 2.5b ISK ship.)

5th(?) loss, Navy Raven "*sigh*" (Disconnected in level 4 mission.)

I may have had other losses in-between those on my alt characters, plus my memory isn't what it used to be.
