Why is account sharing against the rules, what is the justification for it?

account sharing means that an alliance super is never really logged off, its always available. As are every other specialist like perfect FC characters, rorquals and the like.

ie like anything else, its subject to Malcanis's Law.

Also I find "little" account sharers, brothers and the like to be an absolute pain in the ass to deal with as the character is for all intentional purposes schizophrenic.

Its also prone to causing *drama* for GMs when it goes sour as it often does, and passwords get published etc, and its a hallmark of RMT farming.

Plus, if account sharing were legal, it gives scumbags a semi legitimate "out" when caught botting or doing RMT.

In general, it's just a horrible idea to account share.

Yea, logging in is pathetic. I hate EVE. Grr goons.

Gameplay is one of the many backwards game mechanics.

FTFY
In what crazy bullshit world does setting a skill queue have to do with the gameplay in a PVP game?

See, it's as I keep saying, people idiotically and blindly supporting complete non-sense is why this **** never gets changed.

Here I am in hospital, minus one appendix, surrounded by beautiful nurses.

The problem is that all I can think about are my nine inactive skill queues.

Does having someone log in for me breach the eula? I've been here for three days, unsure how many left, and all my characters are young enough that 4 days HURTS.

C'mon, CCP, you're my only hope. Let me flirt with these nurses without panicking about skills.

CCP has access to you webcam and they KNOW your face !

So if someone from your family or a frind log in the will know and perma ban you !

Officially - yes it is against EULA and they have to take that stand.

But if you stop and think for a second, perhaps in your case a bit longer, asking someone you know and trust to login and change train que is a none issue.

BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS WHO LOGGED IN !

I, for one, would be way too paranoid to let someone log in for me. EVE did that to me Sad

Realistically, CCP don't care as long as it doesn't cause them any trouble. Besides, it doesn't hurt, if they don't know. :P

Yea, 24 hour queue is pathetic. It's a hold over from before when training would continue after your account expired.

One of the many backwards game mechanics.

there is a reason for this , go try figur it out , not too hard

where did they take the appendix out from, your ass?? its a 24h - 48h stay max including the day you were operated on......hmm, sue the surgeon for the lost skillpoints. I reckon the hospital are milking your insurance!!

get well soon!

You're thinking endoscopic surgery. If they had to make the big cut, then he'll be there for a bit.

Gotta love 3 month old players telling people about historical game design.

Its not a 'hold over', the 24 hour queue was specifically designed to help people who had the dreaded 3am wakeup alarm to add another skill or when your current skill training ended while you were at work/school.

Anyhoo, OP, get better soon, and really, if you are invested in Eve to the extent that you have 9 training characters.... they you obviously intend to be playing the game for a long time. Missing a week of skilling really isnt going to affect you much.
Don't worry about it.

Thanks to all who replied.

I'm all better and back doing my thing.

Sadly CCP have denied the petition to reimburse the Skillpoints because It wasn't their fault that I got Appendicitis (I disagree, I probably caught it from those damn dirty neutrals in my home System.)

Bit disappointing but not too cut up. It's just a game and *choke* EVE is real!!!! Boohoohoohoo WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH...Rage CCP Waah waaah off to join grrr goons yeah whatever!!!!
