In month 5 w/unlimited resources. RL full-time trader that's funding main through JIta alt station trading. Like going to the candy factory. A BIG candy factory.

Main trained CovOps and has been living in NPC null sec for 6 weeks. My scheme: become king/despot/dictator in ultra-quiet system(s) by controlling resources/sigs etc. Training 2nd alt as enforcer. Main almost done with Blockade Runner.

This is NPC space and locals I've scouted are small pvp gangs, mining crews and roamers. I want alt enforcer to kill outsiders to discourage their return (mostly by camping sigs), a duty the main will share when i finish stealth bomber training. But need to leave locals alone and will consider paying protection or mercenary hire, if they get too interested or I accidentally kill non-corp alt.

So ...can I become the ruthless & maniacal master of my small kingdom? Time isn't an issue as I've been sitting at my desk doing the day job since 1998.

If you find it entertaining sure.

At least until someone, or someones, finds it entertaining to curb stomp you.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

What your plan needs is minions. Better yet, you need to rent a system or two with all that uber cash you make, so you can have the protection of other peoples minions.

I predict death in the form of a covert hotdrop.

if you want to control a slice of Null-Sec, there's a good reason why others do it the way they do. You will need to form a corp, gain enough numbers (this will mean other people, not just alts), demonstrate your prowess via your killboard, and generally gain a reputation. If you want to succeed, it will be best for you to join an established alliance, and if you want to own sovereignty in a system (which you cannot do in NPC space), you will need to rent a slice of this alliance's estate. If you try going about it the way you are describing (and many, many have before you), you are just going to lose a magnanimous amount of ISK and resources because i guarantee you that the other alliances out there will be able to (and gladly) consume anything you and a dozen alts can throw at them. That's my 2c toward your reality check anyways, best of luck!

If the NPC 0.0 space you want to claim has at least one station i can guarantee you someone's gonna move in at some point and make it a pain for you to do anything (like undock safely). An enforcer alt is not enough to secure a system.

You best bet is to join a local corp or start your own. If you don't have a corp chances are the PvPers in the neighborhood would rather blow you up for fun than make deals.
