It is really annoy me like hell ! I know click "C" to deactive the tracking camera, however when I move camera, it automatically back to tracking, I am pretty sure I deactive the tracking, but it enforce camera to tracking when I spin ship in space...Ugh

Does anyone have the same problem? If so should we report it as bug?

You can see if the tracking is active in the headline of the little overview window. Check also the tracking camera setting in your dscan.

What the hell is your avatar looking at so funnily ?

Also:

Usually the issue gets resolved when deactivating it in the SELECTED ITEMS window,
so you might rather want to create a petition/support ticket about this.

No, happens to me too.

I find it a little annoying as I like to use the tactical overlay on screen; and while I like to have it oriented and zoomed to a particular view, it is constantly changing and I have to adjust it again.

It would be good to turn off camera tracking and have it stay off, but yes, it constantly switches back on for me too.

Errr ... wait a second.

Do you guys tend to chat a lot ?
Even when in space ?

You could try to change or remove the shortcut key,
which you can find in the escape menu.

Confirming that my camera has never tracked ghosts. If it did, id sell it to one of those paranormal investigator frauds out there.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Indeed, many "ghosts" caught on camera turn out to be something silly like a bug crawling across the lens.

Do you have DSCAN open? That also has a tracking camera option.

I read somewhere that you need to toggle it off with the 'C' key while it's in the middle of tracking towards something to get it to stay off. This has always worked for me.

I'd like a third toggle tbh, one where the camera always stays facing the direction your ship is traveling.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.
