I approve of this feature's lack of Blue Waffles.

I like Battleships.

Zimmy Zeta - I f*cking love martinis. the original ones, with gin, not that vodka martini crap. Your old Friends can use me for 7 days, free!!!

No, it's not !
You're talking about a specific moment in time.
I'm talking about the time-frame ending in that moment.
And about realism.
And perception.

except the end result is the same. you get to shoot some red crosses.

Except that it's not.
People perceive time.
You are completely ignoring perception.
Stop reacting and use your imagination.
Ships do not just spawn up.
Ships warp in.

Lets put it another way: who cares?
That's what i want to find out. :)

After ten hours, google has scanned this thread already.

I believe it's much faster. I didn't think of it earlier.

Google seemed always to have a direct link to the eve online forums. ^_^

I think I found your problem......

Think about it.

News-papers (The Scope!) could randomly report death of HUNDREDS by [capsuleer name] and what npc lives
get affected by that. That's all just patterns of text, but it adds depth without end !

The possibilities !! :D

I totally agree, I feel like the name of every crew member on the ships you destroy and the names of their families should display in local for everyone to see, what we need is local scrolling hundreds of lines per battleship

They aren't "spawning" they are undocking from improbable pirate bases.

If they aren't spawning,
why do they then just pop up, instead of properly warp in ?

Whatever gets them on grid the fastest so I can kill them and get on with the fun parts of Eve is fine by me.
