I'm not sure what you're trying to do with these fits but I'm pretty sure they're not going to work.

For a general exploration Stratios fit refer to this post (there are other good fits in the thread as well):

As for your Astero fit, if you're using it for PvP/Hunting you don't need the probe launcher or the gravity capacitor rig or the Omnidirectional (in fact you shouldn't fit this to the Astero in general).

You'd go for something like this (I don't have a fitting tool with the updated ships right now so I'm not sure if this fits):

[Astero, New Setup 1]
Drone Damage Amplifier II
200mm Reinforced Steel Plates II
Damage Control II
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste

Warp Scrambler II
Limited 1MN Microwarpdrive I
Stasis Webifier II
1MN Afterburner II

Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Core Probe Launcher II

Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Small Anti-Explosive Pump I
Small Nanobot Accelerator I

Hobgoblin II x5
Warrior II x5
Hornet EC-300 x5

Dual prop + scram web for range control, ideally you'd want to take on targets that can't hit the edge of scram range well. Honestly though, using the Astero as a hunter isn't a good idea cause even though you get the element of surprise, you don't have the dps or tank to take on most threats.

Which DEDs is that Stratios supposed to do? It will probably handle 4s across the board (and 3s, sure) but that's about it. I guess that's a niche, but is that what you wanted to do with it?

If you want to do 5s or better you're going to have to rethink the fit rather substantially.

Dato, thanks for the link and fits. I'll rethink what I've come up with.

Everyone else, I'm regularly flying in hisec and lowsec with corp guys who have Ishtars, doing escalations and such. Occasionally dropping into a wormhole to do exploration. My aim with the stratios was to have a good all around PVE boat for such occasions.

The astero fit, is just theory at work. I'm no good at pvp.

For the SoE ships in PvP you want a cloak, AB and scram and web if possible. Sneak up on your prey grab them and bam you win, just choose your victims wisely. AARs are great for PvP, have one regular armor repairer, and a AAR. I use proj on both, one 200mm on the frigate, and 3 220mms on the cruiser. Becsides that come cap helpers in the meds if able

The fit's are quite fine for a beginning and worth of testing out. Just fit the ships, fly out and test for yourself.

However, here are some suggestions:
If possible, fit T2 Probe launchers, and if you cannot fit T2 Probe Launchers, just fit cheap T1 Probe launchers.
Furthermore, for solo-PvP, rather consider working with T2 Heavies as 25 mbit/s drones, and not sentries, and make good use of webifiers. Maybe even consider using two webifiers.

The ships seem a bit fragile. I guess you focus on choosing your targets wisely and focus on finishing your targets quickly and disappear again.
Play those ships like as if they were "ninjas", sneaky, striking out of darkness, quickly, and ruthless.

Just like a shark. :D

I don't know exactly what I just read about shark ninjas...

Alright, so on the PvE side. Your Stratios tank is weird. You're skimping on resists and fitting a buffer/repper combo. The latter isn't always a bad idea, but I can't imagine it helping in this circumstance.

If you want to be able to lay on damage, you'll be stuck with a 3 slot armor tank on a ship with T1 resists. That's not a great place to be and will likely require that you involve your rigs as well. The advantage there is that you'll have great range; load up on omnis and to hell with guns if they don't fit anymore.

Alternatively, you could shield tank. The tradeoff is basically a raw damage increase (more DDAs) but now to apply that damage you have a skimp on shields and fit omnis. Again, you're implicating the rig slots.

Back-of-the-napkin math says you can still more or less run non-Serpentis 6/10s and 5/10s if you're careful. But it's not exactly an exploration god.
