impact of mobile depot on exploration ?

this single unit is gonna change the exploration gameplay of eve forever i think. every exploration ship is going to use it to fit the ship to combat after they find combat sites. They no longer need to make decisions of having a scanning fit or combat fit. is this intentional ? no one will use frigates for exploration, everyone will use cruisers and battlecruisers because they can do everything. most of them will turn into a prenerf tengu.

tengu didn't get nerfed - If you're talking about highsec explo, I don't think the depot will really effect current hisec explorers. That 45 seconds you spend anchoring is valuable.
frigs are still a low-investment and easy means of getting at higher-end professions sites
using a bonused frig will still be useful, as you can use the depot not to switch out of a scanning fit, but rather out of a travel fit
Big boost for T3's, although they have cargospace issues. I very well may be putting cargo expanders on my scout/probing fit.
Still really wish you could refit your fleet at a single depot
100m3 cloak size just got a lot more relevant.
Stratios and Ishtar have good-sized cargobays.

I see this being used with T3's in null sec mostly. Going from a cloaky nullified travel fit to an all out combat fit. That said, I don't view this as a bad thing.

hmm any one can easily drop the mobile depot along with the probes so by the time you are done getting all the sigs, the depot will be ready for use to change your ship to combat fit. for high sec exploration its never about risk. the high value module at the end of the combat site is all that matters.
