Ahoy hoy Bittervets, Newbros, EFTWarriors, Theorycrafters, Scrublets, and gentlemen,

I'm a big, soft, smooshy hi-sec carebear that's also spent a lot of time in wormholes, usually multi-boxing C4 sites, with the occasional bits of tigerears.org-inspired (love Penny), unsuccessful PvP hunting. Bear

My 4 accounts (two originally bought for mates who have since left the game) have been largely inactive for a long time, but have been training away steadily.

I loved the wormholes, but don't have the kind of time necessary to dedicate to that lifestyle anymore. Sad

So, I'm thinking about how I can make the game jump-in-and-have-a-casual-blast friendly, besides Incursions which I still enjoy.

So I'm looking to build a 4-man gang that I could possibly run by myself, or maybe lure a mate or two back into the fold with, to go shoot some of you nasty low-sec/null people with, and finally start making a contribution (one way or another) to some killboards. Pirate

Characters are as follows:
Char 1
-90m sp
-Amarr focused.
-Perfect tanking, (large laser) gunnery, and support skills. Dabbling into shields and missiles.
-All BC/Des 5.
-Amarr BS/Carrier/Cruiser//Frigate/Strat Cruiser 5.
-Caldari Cruiser 5
-Minnie BS 5 (Bhaalgooorn!). Cruiser 4.
-HAC 4, HIC 4, Marauders 4, Logi 5, Recon 5.

Char 2
-75m SP
-Amarr/Minmatar focussed
-Perfect leadership
-Nigh perfect armour skills
-Great gunnery skills to medium (laser focussed)
-Nigh perfect support skills.
-All BC, Des 5
-Amarr BS, Cruiser 5. Caldari Cruiser5. Command Ships 5. Cov Ops 5. Gallente Cruiser 4. Min Battleship, Cruiser 5.

Char 3
-62m SP
-Amarr focused.
-Perfect gunnery to Med Lasers. Perfect cap/laser/armour support skills.
-All BC/Des 5
-Amarr BS/Cruiser/Frig/Strat Cr 5.
-Gallente Cruiser, Frigate 5
-Covops 5, Logistics 5, Recon 5

Char 4
-62m SP
-Pretty much as above.

So, everyone can fly a Legion very capably, most perfectly. Everyone can fly a SB, and Char1 can fly a BlackOps (albeit at level 1 so far, but with good JD skills).

So I'm thinking some of the following, but am very open to suggestions:
Eos/Astarte (short 16d train for Char2 for GalCr5) + Onei + Legion + Legion
Eos/Astarte + Onei + Nomen + Nomen (cheaper)
Blackops + SB + SB + SB
Blackops + some combo of Recons and SB's
Nomen x 4

Very open to suggestions. Main focus initially is to make it:
-Semi-manageable for quad-boxing (no ISBoxer at this stage), or possibly to bring a mate to two back into the game with.
-Successful

Thanks all, appreciate any and all feedback, even in flame form

Well, quad boxing anything is pretty difficult so I would get some actual IRL people in your gang first.

Ugh. IRL people. I was hoping to avoid that in my fleet comp, but I'll take it on board nonetheless, thanks :)

Assuming I had one or two other IRL peeps, what about fleet comp?

BOps + recons/sb would be nice as I could scout with one and then covert cyno in? Might otherwise be limited to bubblecamping something, in which case I might be best to avoid the super shineys for fear of bringing unwanted attention?

You can do this, but you need to keep in Mind that you have a very limited engagement profile in this case.

Excellent point, and one I hadn't considered due to my very limited PvP experience.

Broad engagement profile is probably my #1 priority now, followed by success, then manageability.

Waiting four hours for a fight I can engage in with any hope of success (passing up fights in the meantime) is no fun.

Would recommend not going beyond two toons in combat situations. Your reaction time is quite crappy and you spend so much time managing modules, that you risk your fun ause it turns into work.

That aside: the bigger, the easier to multibox. The more similiar the ships are regarding role and fit, the easier it becomes. Drones with assistmechanics in place are a go, you can manage your personal fleet's offenses on one toon that way ^^

I'd suggest just getting your toons ready in redeemers or sins, take a covert cyno and go gank. It's very casual, since you can cyno most of your fleet without any headaches.
