What would it take?

The premise of this is very simple - what would it take for you to steal everything you could from your corp? How much potential payoff would it take to make it worth the loss of trust in your character?

I know that most would probably play with Alts, but assume that you would be stealing with your main - it's too easy to join with an alt, wipe a hangar, and biomass the alt.

How much would you have to be able to steal before you found it worth your while to commit corp theft?

Screw that...I'm not risking having to play this horrible game without being able to play it with other Goons.

The temptation is there, no doubt about it. But I can't bring myself to actually do it.

I rather enjoy jumping from corp to corp making friends and helping them establish themselves in whatever profession they want to grow in. Money comes and money goes, but at the end of the day it's having friends in many places that really counts. I know I can call on friends from a corp I left years ago and they'll drop everything to help, and they know I'd do the same. That's just something you can't buy.

However, if it's a random stranger I don't know then sure I'll steal everything I can from them.

From The Skunkworks?

We have nothing to steal, and I'm getting far too much enjoyment from working with them to toss that for a few isk.

From other corps? Opportunity and something worth stealing.

Steal from my corp? Nothing would make me do that.

I will gank, I will blow up random people, I will even steal from enemies or even strangers. But my corp? Nope. That would be betraying a trust between real people. Stealing or looting or killing an enemy or stranger is a part of the game, but in a corp, you form real relationships with real people. Pixels are not worth betraying real people.

It's not the stuff, nor the stealing... it's the broken trust. I keep my word to people.

I would never steal from my corp. I know some of you are rolling your eyes about now-but it is true. I have full director roles and I suppose I could get some good ISK out of it, but I would never screw my brothers over for any ISK or even IRL $$$.

Some of the friends I have made in Eve will last a lifetime. Some of the enemies I have made in Eve will be around for a while too. I Love my brothers and am happy with those that hate my guts. Eve has been a blast (no pun intended) and I wouldnt trade my experiences for anything.

Besides-I steal from everyone else in the game Pirate

We are in fact.

Loyalty and friendship are not bought. They're earned and created though not easily. I know it sounds like a cheesy Saturday morning cartoon special, but it's true. Yes you can go out and hire mercs and the like, but their aid ends when your coffer runs out. Friends will continue to offer aid even when you're flat broke and have hit rock bottom.

Besides, it's also an effective way to climb up the ranks.

There isnt' enough temptation. I would loose the respect of those that I really like, the respect of my CEO who gave me Director roles. Frankly if I really needed or wanted anything, all I have to do is ask ffs. So why would I have to steal.

Good question OP.

Id say that it would prob have to be in the order of tens of billions of isk payout before I would even consider stealing from my corp. Prob 50 billion minimum.

It would have to be enough ISK so I could buy new toons for all of my accounts, as I would biomass my current ones, close them all, and buy new accounts.

The profit would have to be truly immense, as the loss in friends made would be a huge loss indeed.
