Hello friends and pilots of the Intergalactic Summit.

Today we'd like to announce an ambitious project that has been in the works for some time: the groundbreaking of our first permanent ground settlement in the system of Origin (J120442). This colony, which we hope will one day grow into a prosperous city, has been named Foundation, and will be established on the sixth planet, Renaissance. Starting with the groundbreaking ceremony, we will begin to establish permanent research facilities, housing, industrial plants, and centres of learning, art, and culture. We invite you, our friends and interested peers, to join us in the groundbreaking festival on the weekend of November 30th. The festival will be open to the public, simply express interest in this thread and we will add your name to the RSVP list, provided we determine you are not a threat to the ceremony or the people of Origin. Festivities will include music and arts demonstrations by local artists, speeches by our team of coordinators, tastes of local cuisine, camping, and orbital fireworks. Further instructions will be sent by mail as the ceremony draws near.

We hope you will join us in this joyous celebration of our future.

Requesting clarification of the term: "orbital fireworks" Twisted

More Character Customization :: Especially compared to what we had in 2003...

Probably not what you had in mind, Pilot. We mean the festival launchers given to registered capsuleers over the past few years.

I should also take this post space to add in that, with a few exceptions for very close friends and family, pilots will not be taking their own ships into system; festival-goers will meet in a known space location and shuttles will be provided for transportation into Origin. These measures will be in place to ensure the safety of the festivities and the security of our home.

I am also a human, straggling between the present world... and our future. I am a regulator, a coordinator, one who is meant to guide the way.

As I'm sure a feat such this has been attempted before, I wish you good fortune in achieving your goals. I will commend the boldness you possess in taking up a project of this scale. Openly declaring your intention to establish a settlement on public venues such as this can be detrimental to the safety of your colony in the future. Regardless, it will be very interesting to see this colony potentially blossom into a prosperous jewel in a sand of dark void.

We are satisfied with our ability to maintain local security during this event. Any precautions we may take will assure our continued inhabitation of the homesystem while allowing outsiders to participate in our newly formed culture.

We have the balance right, and no information has been given in this thread that is not publically available. Your concern is appreciated however, and your congratulations well received.

Warmest congratulations to yourself and your pilots, Saede. As you know I've been watching your accomplishments with great pleasure and interest for almost all my time in space, and I hope that you find a permanent home in Origin.

I would be happy to attend, but I fear I might not be welcome, for reasons Streya has already given.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Thank you for the warm wishes, and au contraire, the festival will be open and without political bias, it is a celebration of who we are and what we might become. We do not want to see it become bogged down with the politics and petty grievances of the past. Only those whose presence we fear may present a physical danger to the system, its inhabitants, or our other guests, will be denied admittance.

Seconding what Saede said. Though our groups clashed in the past, we've put those politics behind us. Origin offered a fresh start to go down our own path, and we took it.

Certainly interested.

Myself, and my younger sister Dani Dusette, would be very keen to attend if it's not outside our schedules, and if we're approved of course.

Ah, a good idea. And a comforting one.

May I inquire as to whether or not there'll be a safe location within system for your guests to 'park' their shuttles during festivities?

The shuttles will belong to ALXVP and will pick guests up after a screening process from the known-space meeting point (which will be mentioned in the RSVP). Once guests are dropped off on Renaissance the shuttles will not return for pick-up until the end of the event (unless there is an emergency). By limiting aerospace activity in this way it makes system traffic control much easier and will hopefully provide a more relaxing experience for everyone involved. Bring camping supplies for a full weekend of fun!

You've been aboard my home, Saede, I'd look forward to seeing yours. No more kresh tea this time though?

I'll need to know the date/time to confirm attendance, otherwise I'm interested..

In a few moments you will have an experience that will seem completely real. It will be the result of your subconscious fears transformed to your conscious awareness.

About damn time you came to visit my place cher.

Looking forward to see you all there. One of my initial ideas was to dump a shuttle full of people in one of our static exits and seeing how you would all make it back home safe. But I think Saede was opposed to this whole "Roid Survivor" wormhole spinoff.

I'll sign up for that if we get ships and I can bring some kirjuun. *evil grin*
