EVE is freezing when I approach wargates

Hi,

This just started happening today. I set the game to autopilot to a system 8 jumps away and found the game frozen when I came back to check on progress 3 jumps out from my destination. I ended the program via ctrl+alt+dlt then reopened the game. I completed the trip manually but now it freezes every time I approach the first warp gate heading back to my original location and I get a "CCP exefile not resonding" message.

I didn't notice if there was an update but if there was it's causing problems. If not then I'd love to read a response with a fix. Thanks!

specs:

O/S windows 7
CPU: AMD FX 6100 6 core
GPU: Ratheon HD 7850
RAM: 8 GB 2400 mhz
HDD: WD 1-TB

UPDATE:

I restarted the computer and it seems to be working fine. However, I believe the problem was congestion at the warp gate as I saw it almost happen again. I was in Dodixie, a system with high traffic volume. Once I finally broke free of that area the warps were fine as normal.

Something for CCP to investigate.
