Problem with the Forum Search Function

It might just be me, or it might be a general problem. I noticed recently that the search function, although even stated to use in the Forum Rules, is utterly useless when you look for a specific topic.

If you only search for 1 single word, the search function works and gives you at least some results. If you limit the search to only a specific forum, you might even get a result that revolves around what you are looking for. But as soon as you enter several terms in the search function, you get no results back.

I tried this with terms that concern my own topics and ideas. For example:

The search for my topic via the terms "MJD micro jump drive timer cooldown" yields no result whatsoever in the search function, even though the topic has these words either in the title of the topic or used in the messages themselves.

If I now search for "Timer" only, I get lots of results and somewhere there's my topic as well, mingled among all the other timers (agression timer, bubble timer, website xml call timer, secure container timer, etc.)

From other forums I know that you can use AND or OR to specify that the search terms can contain all of the words or at least 1 of the terms. But this doesn't seem to work here with the EVE-Forum search. It also seems to me that the search looks for, kind of at least, complete topic titles or something if you enter several terms in the search field. This is utterly useless because even the slightest deviation from an existing topic title yields no results.

As the forum rules state:

"Forum rules" wrote:
16. Redundant and re-posted threads will be locked.

As a courtesy to other forum users, please search to see if there is a thread already open on the topic you wish to discuss. If so, please place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forums needlessly, causing good feedback and ideas to be lost. Please keep discussions regarding a topic to a single thread.

So, in order to show "courtesy" to other players and to avoid "clutter[ing] up the forums needlessly, causing good feedback and ideas to be lost" - can you please fix the search function of the forum and make it so that you can look up several terms that are in your idea in order to find topics that already talk about your idea. This way people can actually find topics and comment in them and keep the forum cleaner, without the need to scour through dozens of unrelated search results - and ultimately, make it is easier to comply with the forum rules.

Any ideas on this? I noticed in the meantime that you can actually search with several terms in the search function, but apparently it only works with a very limited range of words/search terms. This should be improved.
