I'll point you in the direction of Blog Banter 37: Lines in the sand. Most people seemed to be okay with all kinds of scams and misdemeanours within the game, but were opposed to behaviour that reached outside the sandbox to affect people's real lives.

I would suggest that a photo taken in jest to support in-game purposes might end up being one of those things that a citizen of the real world would be embarrassed by having displayed in the real world (say, at a job interview).

You are most certainly right, and the fact that Erotica 1 seemed incapable of understanding that he had crossed the line between in-game and real life is the reason he is unfit for any position of authority, let alone one that has the potential to affect the game for others. I truly believe that he felt his "clients" were showing their support when they sent those pictures, that they were having a good time. I don't think he was capable of seeing that his enjoyment and that of his victims were not linked in any way. He felt his "emergent gamplay," as he loved to call it, was the future of EvE Online and that anybody that became upset over his actions needed to get out of the "sandbox." To him, there was no disconnect between a character and the player at the keyboard. EvE seems to have become all encompassing to him, reaching out into the world and dragging people in, leading him to believe that a photo of an individual that plays a game was just another item in the game world. I am truly glad that he appears to be gone, as his actions had the potential to utterly destroy the future of EvE Online. Could you imagine the repercussions had someone suffered some consequence in their life from having participated in his "bonus room?"

I do not usually post so consistently as I have here. After his "press conference," however, it became a crusade of mine to do everything I could to stop him being elected. Sadly, it's a crusade I'd have failed without the intervention of Mynna and others. Mynna, by the way, has given me much hope that I'll one day be able to say I've been playing EvE Online for ten years. If they're running for CSM, they'll get my vote for standing against such disturbing actions. I still hope to one day topple the Goons, but at least now I can do so knowing they have decent people in their ranks. Now if only they would stop growling at each other...

You're a profligate poster and it's hard to keep up with which posts are satire, which are fuelled by red cordial and vodka, and which ones are actually serious. You participated in Erotica1's scam and bonus room, posted to the forums describing your love for Erotica1 and then started asking for CSM intervention.

Which posts were bonus room hazing ritual and which were genuine?

How are we supposed to do anything but stand by and watch this train wreck as it progresses? How do we know it's not just another stunt?

Actually it's legit. I've been getting multiple....strange....mails regarding erotica1's activities of late as well. So yeah, people have been mailing out the content of your ~forums~ to GD posters.
