New ship trial period

So I took a look at the vast list of suggestions our creative community has offered, and I did not notice this particular feature mentioned.

The idea is that when you purchase a new ship you would have a limited period of perhaps 24 hours up to a week to which you can return it at no cost or perhaps a small restocking fee.

I understand that you can just repackage, and resell the ship, but you have to wait before the sale goes through for the amount you purchased it for, and sometimes that is not possible if other ships were put up for a lower amount than what you originally purchased yours for.

This would basically give you time to fit your ship in different ways to see if is something that you enjoy flying. Sure EFT can show you stats, but it is not completely accurate, and you might change your mind after flying your ship for a while.

As always, contructive criticism and suggestions are welcome.

OP:

Have you ever wanted to try out a ship, a module, a fitting or a tactic before committing to it on TQ? Have you ever thought to yourself "Hmm, what would happen if I fit X to Y and then used it to do Z?"

If you have, then I've got the solution for you: SINGULARITY!

Yes! Right now, you too can connect to CCP's test server, Singularity and "try-before-you-die"!

Nearly every T1, meta and T2 module you could wish for is available to you right now for the small sum of 100 ISK!

That's right, I said 100 ISK! Pretend that the underlined text is actually flashing!

Vast quantities of ships, weapons, propulsion modules, ammo, drones, scripts, YOU NAME IT! All for 100 ISK each!

100 ISK! With prices like these, how can you say no? That's right, you can't!

Eve Online Singularity Server! Try it here so you won't die there! Brought to you by CCP hf!

You're not looking at the bigger picture. While this might be good for the consumer, it would be horrible for the people selling the ships. Sales getting canceled and money being moved back and forth would make selling a pain.
There's also a way to exploit this: if you're in the business of selling ships and you've got competition on the market (as you usually do) you can "borrow" your competition's ships, get them off the market by trying them and returning them to the seller, temporarily getting their sell orders off the market.

This might work in some other game that does not have a player-run economy.

In Eve this wouldn't work.

What do you mean temporarily ?

Can't you just take another trial run just after you return your competitors ships ?

All because the OP wants his ISK back now. If you want to get the ISK quickly, pay for full insurance and go suspect at Jita undock.

OP... you are aware that all items for sale on the market are coming from players... right?

You are basically asking for a means to forcibly sell something back to another player. I can see some market shenanigans being played with this.

Example: "Buy" a whole bunch of stuff to inflate the market price for said item(s)... as soon as everyone starts buying into the hype... "return" all the items you "bought" and crash the market... buy the items at crashed market prices... wait... then sell for profit once the market stabilizes again.

Also... the Test Server is what you are looking for.
